Just placed my pre-order through the Team Associated website.
I'm on vacation and noticed it available just this morning. Any guess if orders with Team Associated will be filled before or after the big dealers?

Re: Just finished my Tamiya BBX
How do you think it will hold up? It was rainy yesterday so I haven't had a chance to run it yet. From the videos I've seen online it seems to be pretty durable. It will be driven with different wheels and tires to keep the originals pretty for the shelf. Also, the flag on the back will be removed ...

Re: Just finished my Tamiya BBX
Not sure how well it shows in the pics, but the metallic really pops. Painting the tires was bit of a pain but I think it was worth the effort. The tires aren't glued yet so I may remove them, strip the chrome off of the wheels and paint them to look like aluminum. I think that would suit the vintag...

Re: Just finished my Tamiya BBX
The stripes look so good it didn't seem right to cover them up. So, I cut my own numbers for the roof as well as the flag on the rear. I left the number plates off the rear body panels because they are difficult to get to lay flat without wrinkles. The ride height seemed a tad too high for me and so...

Just finished my Tamiya BBX
It's a rainy ugly late-November Sunday, so I finished up my BBX today. It's pretty much stock except for the optional slipper clutch. It has a HobbyWing Quicrun ESC with a 10.5 turn Quicrun sensored motor. I installed a 25 tooth pinion as well. I like the contrast of the yellow, orange, red and whit...

Re: Re-re Optima Mid with EXO Design chassis
Nice one Adam with the comment about the thinner battery being needed, are you saying that the shorty you have in the car in the photos wouldnt fit in the car if the battery was mounted in the perpendicular position? That is true. The battery I used would not fit if mounted perpendicular. It is too...

Re: Re-re Optima Mid with EXO Design chassis
For "runner" wheels an tires, I am trying to decide if I prefer white or black Turbo Optima wheels on re-re tires. I do prefer the Turbo Optima wheels but will keep the Optima Mid Pargu wheels on it for the shelf.

Re: Re-re Optima Mid with EXO Design chassis
7.jpg 8.jpg 9.jpg 10.jpg 12.jpg Wheels are from Pargu. Tires are from Marwan. These are for the shelf. I may try to paint the tire lettering white. I'm not hard-core box-art with my re-re's, but rather box-art...ish. I took some liberties with left-over decals from my other Kyosho releases. It may ...

Re: Re-re Optima Mid with EXO Design chassis
I used a ProTek low profile servo so that it wouldn't overhang the side of the chassis.

Re-re Optima Mid with EXO Design chassis
Just finished my Optima Mid re-re EXO Designs swb classic version chassis & Rc Screwz stainless screw set. Pretty well stock other than universal drive shafts and a Kyosho HD mid gear and a set of Kyosho titanium turn buckles. I bounced back & forth quite a bit between the the parallel or pe...

Re: My newest Ultima re-re (Tomahawk body)
I always felt Kyosho kind of missed the boat when they didn't release something similar after Joel Johnson won the 1987 IFMAR with a Tomahawk bodied Ultima. Seems like a whole new car they could have sold as a "World Champion" special edition or something of the sort. They would not have h...

My newest Ultima re-re (Tomahawk body)
Hi everyone, Kind of bored on Friday night. Thought I'd post a few pics of my latest Ultima build. It has a Tomahawk body. I painted this body up to be my runner . The body was purchased off ebay from someone parting out a kit and it was pre-cut version. As such, I don't love the cut lines behind th...

Oh well...guess I gotta get back in line somewhere. Since I pre-ordered way back in February I was hoping to have a decent spot in line.

Re: Optima Mid RERE
I missed my email the other day from AMain asking if I wanted to keep my Mid on order. This morning I saw they canceled it and refunded my PayPal account.
