Re: Backing your paintjobs

I Faskolor paint on all my bodies, which may give different results vs. using other paints. I always back my bodies in black, I think that it not only gives you an extra layer of paint, but it looks so much more finished. I hate when people have amazing paintjobs, and during action shots, you can se...

Re: Help! Need advice on cleaning up some vintage parts!

Ok thanks everyone! especially Dr. Robotnik...I knew there had to be many different attempts to re-whiten parts, but like temple said, they are rare parts, and since they will be going on my box art replica car, I might try the krylon until I can find some other ones to use on the car. Thanks for th...

Re: Help! Need advice on cleaning up some vintage parts!

Lol, I like ketchup too!

Interesting idea about the soda blasting...I know i've heard of it, just have to check into how much material it would remove... Because the spring retainer walls are so thin, i'm not sure how much the dye penetrated.

Re: Help! Need advice on cleaning up some vintage parts!

I always use the search (hate to get flamed), probably why you guys never really see my name on here because I usually find what i'm looking for by us...

Help! Need advice on cleaning up some vintage parts!

Thanks for opening up the thread! I recently purchased a pair of shocks with the rare spring retainers on them. I believe they have been dyed a yellowish orange color, and are pretty dirty. I was wondering if there has been any successful attempts of restoring white parts after they have been alread...

Re: Pink Stripe on Box Art Body

If anyone noticed,...... The chassis in the pics is not the same chassis on the original box art car....However, if anyone remembers the pactra paint ads (most recognised on their spray can displays in hobby shops) the chassis on that rc10 has the chrome rims, and nose tubes that look orange, the ma...

Re: The death of the Clodbuster

Yes the clod and its axles are outdated, well they turned 20yrs. old last year....Anyways, there's a reason for why they are still made....People still race them, buy them, and were the best selling/longest selling tamiya kit. We have clodbusters that give stadium trucks/emaxxes a run for their mone...

Re: The death of the Clodbuster

The bigfoot trucks in the picture used custom graphics that are on the inside of the body, they look just like the real trucks graphics, the rest of the "old school" trucks are all paintwork. the only reason the ripper gave the powers truck a run for its money was the fact that it basicall...
