Re: Your Top 10 Pet Peeves in second-hand R/C cars
Okay, I'll have a go at this...... 5. Clockwork 15 minute nicad chargers that will charge a 1200 pack in half an hour - and contribute about half the total package weight from the other side of the world.... Classic! Even worse are mains chargers - three times the weight of clockwork chargers and t...

Re: The Official "What is it?" Thread
Anyone know what cars these undertrays are for? I thought the small one might be PB but the bigger one looks Schumacher CAT like, but it's not a original design. Re: Cougar Restoration
Nice Cougar! Like the matching the chassis and towers look. The shock towers were made by "Team Tanaplan" in London, UK, in the 1990's. I still have some NIP's somewhere if anyone is interested in a pair. Cheers, Ian http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/ii225/minichamps11/For%20Sale/P3070144...

I've used low gloss lacquer on cleaned Yoke magnesium bits and it's done a great job of protecting that "as new" look.

Re: Cat 2000
That side profile of the original CAT2000 looks damn hot!! I agree :) It's one of my favourite buggies. Apparently handled pretty well too. I've never raced mine but I know a Schumacher Team driver who decided to get back into off-road after doing touring cars for years and he got Schumacher to sen...

Re: Best method for restoring yellow cva shocks
Fair enough on the Wikipedia comment, I know entries can be abused and incorrect. This is what it says on WD40's own website about different materials: What surfaces or materials are OK to use WD-40 on? WD-40 can be used on just about everything. It is safe for metal, rubber, wood and plastic. WD-40...

Re: Best method for restoring yellow cva shocks
Been doing this 30 years, and beg to differ on wd40, while wd 40 itself is basically fish oil, the propellant used can crazy plastic I have fogged plastic and melted tamiya cva shock bodies using wd 40 in the past Unless WD40 is a different compound in your country, it's a petroleum based product. ...

No, I'm still clueless on the alloy gearboxes. People on here had ideas, I just know they came from Japan with some other spares..

Re: Carbon fibre tub YZ-10 project
No, it's still unfinished. I bought a carbon Fibre top deck for the car from Fibre-lyte, but the weave direction didn't match the chassis and it deserved better. Haven't got round to ordering another one yet..... One day, I promise!

Vega Elite mid-engined conversion for RB5 and Truck
OK, I know it's not vintage but who doesn't like a nice bit of machining? :D From the same people who make & distribute the Predator 4wd buggy (Team Extreme) Truck conversion http://www.teamxtreme.co.uk/vega-elite-truck/images/010.jpg RB5 SP2 conversion http://www.teamxtreme.co.uk/vega-elite/ima...
