When was the first Carbon or Graphite chassis
Hi and apologies if this has been asked before but I couldn't get anything useful from the search. When was the first aftermarket Graphite or Carbon chassis released? I went down a bit of a rabbit hole after making a comment regarding the JJ Ultima and wondered if that was the first time a graphite ...

Re: Dazza's Garage
Stuff in Dazza's Garage from other manufacturers Schumacher Corner: Schumacher SPC car. This car was assembled about 40 years ago and put on a shelf. I got it and can confirm it has never been used, so it will sit on my shelf for a few more years! https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/pw/AL9nZEV-Uw-RPRy...

Re: K-Factory Nitro TC3 Build
So this is kind of where I'm at so far - I've built the K-factory 2speed and installed it on my motor. added a couple of servos and made up the steering links with some Lunsford titanium turnbuckles. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/pw/ACtC-3c3mHZcdfoEOBQCdN6e9UxeR3eXQCdk2PdNHzUXWR5pINzdV5UwcmDqtvi...

Re: K-Factory Nitro TC3 Build
I did a bit of a shuffle with the shocks - they are now in a collection of parts called "Factory Team TC3" which will one day find its way here. These are V2 shocks with the later version of unobtanium coated shafts that are gold instead of grey. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/pw/ACtC-3...

Re: K-Factory Nitro TC3 Build
This is a very impressive build. Those K-Factory parts are very nice pieces. I hope you get this one completed and updated. Thanks! I have my OG NTC3 that I am thinking may need a rebuild. Thanks Lavigna - thats just the kind of comment I need to re-focus my attention on actually completing somethi...

Re: B4 Bonanza
Next up is a B4.1 - this is also a Factory Team car and one of the B4's I swapped for some Tamiyas that I no longer needed. This car came in a collection of 3 with one having a broken chassis and also a whole load of parts. The Factory Team 4.1 parts were nicely distributed across the 3 cars and als...

Re: B4 Bonanza
Next we have a couple of shots of the car pretty much complete with wheels on and a servo to hold the steering in the right place: https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/Kkt4n7AU4FpFBy43QawFm3OlyB94ZMbxbWB95Qk8cWy4W5inSFdTLJko37TDQ-B5Mep0Ys6M71VmzrLLfODwvqnSqNHfU9KusImotCCIOAUwsWz2ppSjf-TSFphkQiQ9gcBgrnP...

Re: B4 Bonanza
I've fitted the shocks on the Factory Team B4 now, selecting the best of 4 sets. Out of the 4 sets I was lucky to be able to make up one with acceptable wear on the blue alloy balls for the lower mount - they seem to wear out real bad. Front and Rear Shocks mounted: https://lh3.googleusercontent.com...

Re: B4 Bonanza
Thanks Doug, I always struggled with off road back in the day so I didn't venture too far from pan cars for racing. Since I've started racing again its been on road again - mainly the Tamiya classes with my son. And I really enjoy the collecting and building side so that's why I'm here. But Your en...

Re: B4 Bonanza
Righto - on to the B4 Factory Team then. This is the only carbon chassis of all the B4's I have. It was in need of a tidy up with a bit of CA needing to be removed - this proved to be no problem with the Acetone on a cotton wool ball trick I learned here at RC10 Talk. I then used a bit of car wax to...

Re: B4 Bonanza
I've put a few stickers on it for now, not sure about the minimalist approach so I might add some more later. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/hJbLARgy7tvQ8rXeO3997eE8Ie0etXK2MCGLRP_hXKVbRHljxdIcnhKRqK56P2eRxdaNGpzqqnI6AAHXjiZAOY469XpHiAzyGxgMcaB3Gp_-g8cnHkTOeeFUgCiHLTDlz_cWMKFFTv1sdyRg7BAsAAJSfTxM...
