Re: Vintage-Modern Build to be Raced

Often projects go like that. ;) I like how this is turning out and plan to get some track time either later this week or next (unless they close the track due to the Corona virus). ...in which case this will have to wait before I get ...

Thanks!
Once I get the electronics hooked up and a few mechanical things tweaked i'll be taking it to a carpet track near me to test and continue to tweak.

Re: Vintage-Modern Build to be Raced

Sorry I've been silent on this thread, ...I actually have been really busy working on my RC10 vintage/modern build. I was thinking during the build and decided that since my car was already way off original that it didn't really matter to use the RC World's tub I had and decided to swap the chassis ...

Re: Vintage-Modern Build to be Raced

Agreed,
That was my first thought. I plan on getting some bands that are a little bigger/looser. You can get them at the hardware store for about .30 each. I suppose if you never take the battery out it's fine, but I dont like keeping batteries in my cars and charging while in the car.

Re: Vintage-Modern Build to be Raced

Yeah, I've noticed that too. I wonder if maybe the supply gets bought up here in the US quicker? In any case, I wish they'd get the shipping to/from US to Aus more reasonable.

Re: Vintage-Modern Build to be Raced

Thanks for the encouragement on the build,
Yes, I went w/ the JC Concepts front axle pieces as that is all I could find, -I had to order from Australia as they are discontinued and found an eBay seller w/ like 5 sets. Paid $8 for them US, then $20 shipping (sucks, but what else could I do)?!!
