Re: the grasshopper

i thought about that. did you need lb/mp front axels or do those meats fit the stock hopper/hornet axels? i can't wait for his bday party, next sunday. Yup, you need the front axles but they just swap out. I also used the LB bumper. Otherwise everything is stock Grasshopper. When I did it the LB re...

Re: the grasshopper

Kaiser- I built my son a Monsterhopper for his 5th birthday. http://i150.photobucket.com/albums/s94/civilguy/MCQ1a.jpg Also put together one for my daughter: http://i150.photobucket.com/albums/s94/civilguy/Kids_GH.jpg We ran the stock 380 with the bigger Lunchbox tires and they ran forever (and went...

Re: How I spent my Fathers day/Birthday.

Awesome way to spend a day! I always forget to get photos when we run, as I am having more fun running with the kids and just space it.

On Father's Day we went to look at new campers... a close second. ;)

Re: Aero Spider RC - drives on walls/ceilings

Air Hogs made a Zero Gravity car that was just like that: We have one collecting dust... and speaking of dust you will find out very quickly if your walls are dirty or not. My folks gave my son his (maybe Christmas 08 or 09) and he proceeded to drive it around their li...

Re: 2013 VINTAGE OFFROAD NATIONALS • SEPT 13-15TH

Nah Jason, wasn't directing that specifically at you. It's just that the same arguments are brought up every year on the forum. By both those who attend and those who don't. I have held my tongue... I think for two years now. ;) it's just that for me, if i'm going to a vintage race, i should be rac...

Re: been gone a while/new start in life

That was Cannonball 2, right? I thought Jackie had a Subaru in the first one. Either way, cool project car. Thank you for your service & welcome back! BTW I am not the movie police... just a big fan of the original Cannonball. That and Stripes were very influential (read: boobs) in my pre-teens....

Re: Intriguing ad in RC Car Action - RC10 re-release?

I am by no means saying these will sell out as pre-orders. I raced in the 80s with my father and his friends. I saw a few of them at lunch today and only one had heard about the kit (Tower email). 3 of the 4 said they'd buy one if they saw them at the hobby shop. Not one of them is on any forums, fa...

Re: Intriguing ad in RC Car Action - RC10 re-release?

I hope the folks taking preorders honor them based on timing/sequence when they came in and don't pull some crap like a lottery to settle it. :? Will they have to honor the order that posts were made here that say "I'll buy one (or 2)"? In all seriousness, that'll be a tough one to ...

Re: Intriguing ad in RC Car Action - RC10 re-release?

i like turtles. When one of my kids is being a tool my wife will look at them and say that. ;) A while back we were at a school function and this kid that my son is not very fond of (close talker being one of the many traits my son doesn't like) came up and started babbling. My son (probably 10 at ...

Re: Anyone else into slot cars?

I realized I mentioned a while back that I would try to find a picture of my track. This was from the last time we had it set up (winter 2005-2006), and all this talk of tracks has me wanting to get it back out. The layout was designed to fit on a 4x8 sheet of plywood and my father had built a foldi...

Re: Intriguing ad in RC Car Action

$350 is more then 2x the price of rc10s back in the day. ?? Did you buy an RC10 in the 80s? Mine was $225 for the 6010 kit. I ended up spending $100 for a Futaba MC8 esc, about $130 for a Magnum radio, and another $60+ for bearings. That's $515 for a stock racer... in 1985-6 dollars. Which accordin...

It's a good thing a picture is worth a thousand words... because I didn't understand any of those!
You did make me late for work though- I had to keep scrolling through. That is incredible craftsmanship. Thanks for sharing.
