Re: FREE RC10T!!

Those look pretty good. How much would a set of those set me back? Where would be the best place for me to get a set?

Re: FREE RC10T!!

Not a clue about the body... I am sure that you guys are more knowledgable that me. He did give me a NIP body for it... it is an Associated #6132. Anyone know anything about it? I think that I will paint that up and use it because it looks to be a better style. I'd like to get some stickers for it t...

FREE RC10T!!

So I have a friend at work that used to be into RC'ing way back in the day. He went through his old stuff and brought in a few bags of trinkets to give to me the other day. The crowned jewel of the loot was a pretty nice RC10T... he also gave me some brand new motors, brand new lexan bodies, a NIP F...

Re: Battery placement for RC10

I have wondered this same thing. I have 2 RC10s with one battery setup going front to back and the other across. If memory serves me, the front to back was because I had old SCE cells and they didn't fit across. I just landed an RC10T (for FREE) and it is mounted side to side.

Re: Nitro car recommendation

That brings a good question... do most nitro cars not have reverse? If it does have reverse, does it require a 3 channel radio system or will a 2 channel do the trick?

Re: Nitro car recommendation

Great advice all the way around. I was looking at the RC8 and that seemed to be a pretty nice ride. I tihnk that I will probably go the truggy route when I get one since that seems to support what I want to do with it pretty well. I wasn't sure about the drive trains now a days... my only experience...

Re: Nitro car recommendation

Thanks for the post MOmo. Basically, I was heavily into electric RC when I was a kit (about 20 years ago). I used to race my RC10 competively, etc. I still have 8 or 9 of my vintage electric cars/trucks. I also had a nitro car back in the day so I am no novice to RC'ing. My old RC10 doesn't look any...

Re: Nitro car recommendation

Also, any suggestions on "features" to avoid vs. desire? For example... stay away from chain drives and get a belt drive... or belt drives are the devil... etc.

Thanks again!

Re: Nitro car recommendation

Thanks for all of the info guys. uzzi, I was looking into the truggies as well since they seemed to be a pretty good mix with what I'd like to do. I do like to tinker so the nitro cars seemed the way to go as well. Out of curiousity, what kind of top speeds would a truggy with a 28 size engine get? ...

Re: evilBay questions

I've only sold on eBay once and it was pretty easy. I did only accept PayPal and again, it was easy. I sold some PC memory and I listed a flat fee of $5 for the shipping anywhere in the lower 48 states... I think it cost me under $2 in the end so I made a few bucks there as well. If you don't use pa...
