Re: Rere alternative battery configs - saddle packs
Whilst I'm here, I couldn't confirm the internal drive ratio on the rere either. And whilst the 15T pulley is specced, the teeth on diffs aren't mentioned, and I'm too lazy to take apart and count them - does anyone know this by any chance?

Rere alternative battery configs - saddle packs
Hello, I've nearly finished the YZ-10 rere build - I've searched the forum, but has anyone configured for saddle packs with the rere's, 870C, YZ10 or Works 91'? And if so, how? I've searched for alternate parts than the shorty holder, and original parts, and have not succeeded as yet. And the YZ-10 ...

Re: Cougar Storm mess
I do as it happens. I can’t get my stick packs under the rear bulkhead, and then share the two straps, and it’s also a little tight to the servo. Assume because sticks have longitudinal cell arrangement v perpendicular. But I did think of that. And the moment using Velcro and Velcro straps, which pr...

Re: Cougar Storm mess
So Top Cat rere diff parts are indeed the same, and the Storm is up an running well. Had to trim the shock pistons which were sticking in the bodies, but otherwise pretty good, even if short a screw here and there. I am struggling to source the stick pack battery holders though. Does anyone know of ...

Lazer ZX-R
Hi Kyosho people, I never ran a Kyosho back in the day, so have picked one up to scratch my itch, and see how it compares to the Yoko and Cat. If anyone has any pointers or advice on the ZX-R, please let me know. IMG_20210811_160911_m.JPG IMG_20210811_160805_m.JPG IMG_20210811_160755_m.JPG IMG_20210...

Re: Cougar Storm mess
The Cougar mk1 however, was a bit more shabby. Screw head had broken off the rear diff axle, so that wasn't going anywhere. Had also destroyed the thrust race, missing the disc springs anyway, and split a rear hub. ebay rescue described as "fully operational and functions as intended". Ah ...

Re: Cougar Storm mess
So the club 10 mk2 is stripped and rebuilt, to be re-purposed as a Cougar instead of a Storm (as the mk1 Cougar had the Storm conversion towers) Some new tyres, wheels from the Cougar, and added new wing mounts. Re: Cougar Storm mess
I do enjoy the build challenge, particularly when things aren't always as clear as they could be. But in particular, the nostalgia of having a mix of metric and imperial parts and measurements...

Re: Schumacher PDF Manual and Catalogue Scans
Hi Alex,
Could I trouble you for the Cougar 2 as well?
Did they do anything different for the different specs released, or is it all in one?
Cheers,
Simon.

Re: Works 91 completion
Thanks very much, I have a bit of a learning curve with this one.
I'm not sure it's left its previous country yet, so I'm a good few weeks off before I get cracking on it.

Re: Cougar Storm mess
Awesome, thanks for the insights. I'll have to dig out the Nitro 10. It's at the bottom of the pile, and also needs a de-grease. My first love, and nemesis - the engine was always a PITA to get running. Pretty fast when I nailed a sweet spot with it, I think that was with the exhaust off, which was ...

Cougar Storm mess
So, having acquired a couple of ebay rescues to restore, I have what was described as a Cat, which I assumed was a Cougar, but on more detailed investigation is probably an original Storm? IMG_7072.jpg Ironically, I also acquired what was described as a Storm RTR (did they do that? - it looks possib...
