Re: My Shapeways parts for YZ10 Rebuild
mikea96 Thanks, I saw those. I wanted something close to the look of the originals so I figured I would try to recreate, cant quite tell from JC's pics how close they are. Also, I wanted to dress them up a bit with the "Yokomo" engraving (not in the pic above but on Shapeways)... Ernie

My Shapeways parts for YZ10 Rebuild
Hi guys. Hope this is ok but I thought I would share some of the stuff I created on for my YZ10 rebuild: https://www.shapeways.com/shops/ernies Various plastic parts I drafted that might be useful to others. Like if you want to run NiMH batteries that tend to be slightly bigger then NiCD, I have bat...

Re: Replace Aluminum Screws with Stainless Steel?
Thanks @jwscab. That's what I thought. My chemistry/metallurgy is pretty rusty from college but I remember magnesium being particularly reactive. Really wish they used something else.

Replace Aluminum Screws with Stainless Steel?
Hi guys. I am tearing down my newly rediscovered YZ10. As I do it I noticed that most, if not all, of the screws going into the front and rear magnesium bulkheads are Aluminum. Interesting choice but I would rather just replace all of them with Stainless Steel which would be more durable (most of th...

1988 YZ10 Shock Springs
Hi guys. I am in the process of rebuilding my yz10. One thing that is bothering me is the shocks. They do not feel right. I have a feeling they have the wrong springs on them. Does anyone know what would work as proper replacements. I am not looking for original necessarily, just something that matc...

Re: Trying to identify YZ10 Main Gear
Thanks for the reply. Ya, thats what I was suspecting. Especially when I realized the diff balls do absolutely nothing. I must have pulled it off another car.
Will have to try and locate the original as I would really like to try the clutched setup.
Thanks again.

Trying to identify YZ10 Main Gear
Hi guys. I was cleaning up in my attic the other day and found my old RCs which I had not touched in like 25+ years. Now I have the itch to get back into them. By far my favorite was the YZ10: 20211006_120358_HDR.jpg I bought a modern charge for it to see if it even still ran - it does! The old sany...

Re: Is there a PDF manual for the YZ10 (870c) online and not the Works '91 or 870c version?
Sorry to resurrect this. I am new to the forum as I am getting back into my old RCs I found in the attic from when I was a kid. My fav was the YZ-10 which I would have bought some time around 88/89 since I didnt even have my drivers license yet (I remember my dad driving me back from the hobby store...
