Re: RC10 long travel (RPM Style) new build
If anybody is interested, you can ask for the files for the A-arms. After I had more or less all parts I designed the arms to give it 246 mm of width using "modern" wheels. They are longer than old RPM because the "modern" wheels have not the same offset as vintage ones. Parts us...

RC10 long travel (RPM Style) new build
New build: RC10 RPM Style long travel with truck nose plate. I found some parts which haven't been used for a long time in my collection, they fitted together quit well, had to add a few things and this is the result. I will finish it this weekend, has smooth long travel, very promising, hope it wil...

Re: AE RC10 4wd .step files
Just one last remark: I like the Ten4.1 a lot more than Asso's RC10 4WD. The front hub carrier style is so much more vintage! I don't understand why Associated took this bulky modern parts for the front end. The look doesn't match the rest of the car. Don't they have the time (or passion) to redesig...

Re: AE RC10 4wd .step files
A few more questions, do you have any information about: - teeth number und pressure angle (14,5 or 20 degree) of the idler gear, - profile and teeth number of the belt, - teeth number of the pulleys, - length of the CVD ("pin-to-pin")? With exception of the belt (HTD 573 3m) and drive sh...

Re: AE RC10 4wd .step files
This is absolutely great stuff, thanks a lot! I will print and mill the parts. A few more questions, do you have any information about: - teeth number und pitch angle (14,5 or 20 degree) of the idler gear, - profile and teeth number of the belt, - teeth number of the pulleys, - length of the CVD (&q...

Re: RC10 parts with set screws instead of E-Clips
I'd love to see it molded. The printed polyamide is surprisingly good. Five out of six surfaces look almost perfect (top and the four sides, only on the bottom-oriented surfaces you can see where the supports had been). And in two out of three directions the parts are almost as strong as the molded...

Re: RC10 parts with set screws instead of E-Clips
Hello Doug! You think it's a downside if the pin does not rotate in both parts? I'm not sure, I think it is even better like that. Because only one part will be worn and if there is to much play you only have to change the A-arm. By the way, all this parts are printed from white polyamide using a Pr...

RC10 parts with set screws instead of E-Clips
As you can see there is a cylindrical part added on these RC10-parts, so you can use a setscrew to secure the hingepins. Very comfortable, no more lost E-clips. And it is very easy to make your own hingepins, no need to make a groove to seat a clip, just buy 1/8" steel rod from a hardware store...

Re: Futaba Magnum Jr 3S conversion
Jus be careful, because this tension can damage RF output transistors over time, especially if the antenna is not perfect. The transistors suffer from overheating. Remember that this RC was designed for 9,6V and a higher tension was only present for a very limited time with dry batteries or 8 fully ...

Re: RC12.5 B4
What are your plans for the transmission? First version ("lazy"): Original B4 with modified motor-plate for a 380size motor as low as possible. Later maybe something a little bit smaller... maybe home-built, maybe with parts of the old stealth (this diff is a little bit smaller) and a new...

RC12.5 B4
]Dear Friends of the RC10 For a long time I was looking for a "good" small buggy. "Good" means to me: - Quality, can handle powerful motors - Looks like a race car, not like a plastic toy - Rear-motor, because mid-motor works good on carpet and astroturf, but not for old-fashione...
