Re: Lipo/ electronics help for Dummies
You are right. It might be a little easier and a little cheapers. I figured since I think I need all new stuff that Lipo seems to be the way to go. I seem to have missed NiMH altogether as I was running Nicads when I hung things up for a while. Are the new NiMH good? Seems like I have seen some 1200...

Re: Lipo/ electronics help for Dummies
Thanks. I am guessing most car cells are 2 cells? I know, I really know zero about this.
Then with one of these I could run the old novak and an old motor (the cheapest option). Do most new ESC's include the 6v cut off?
Is there a good inexpensive lipo charger out there?
Thanks, Fred

Lipo/ electronics help for Dummies
Alright, I am in the process of returning my YZ10 to life and I would love to run Lipo's as I am just going to use the car to run around (not race). I have ancient electronics (Novak T5) and old old Twister stock motor. I am looking at the Lipo stuff and I am having a hard time finding out what I wo...

Re: Yokomo works carbon fibre tub chassis
Not sure if there would be enough interest but this is the response I got back from fibre Lyte when I sent them a picture of the tub. I could follow up to see what the cost would be if there were 10+ buyers. Also I am not sure if they have the CAD but I can draw/ model something up from my 870c if n...

Re: Holy cr_p
So the 2.2 is the inner diameter of the tire. It seems like the bonding could be on a couple of surfaces (inner hub and outer rib).

Re: Holy cr_p
What does a Yok Adapter even look like? Silly question - how do you know if you have 2.2 rims? Is it the outside diameter of the outside lips, or is it the "major" diameter of the hub (less the ribs)? Not sure if that is clear but I just realized I actually might have the 2.2 narrow fronts...

Re: Holy cr_p
I agree - just that it kind of shows a market need. Not sure of the market but I would imagine you could sell a hundred or so sets if you had them. Almost makes me want to looks into some molding options. Of course I would still need to get a set to work from, so I might be the guy spending $40+ soo...

Did you see this. http://dl.getdropbox.com/u/387028/Sh_t%21.JPG So I think someone either needs to break out the old molds and shoot some of these or maybe we should send this image to yokomo and they can see that there is a desire out there for some old YZ Parts. Ugh. $93 for four pieces of plastic...

Re: What are these arms?
The chassis plate above is the -91 works. Can you replace the 870c chassis plate with that one?
Might ebay one or look get one from fibre lyte.

Re: What are these arms?
So Andy's did make replacement arms for the 870c - anyone else and how common are they?
I think I remember then from the time but I imagine they are hard to find now.

Re: What are these arms?
So that would mean to move to these arms - I can bolt onto the 870c but everything (knuckles, arm, universal) would have to be works '91?
