Re: RC10T decal vendors
I just saw those turnbuckles and I think I need a set in blue for my RC10GT.. Those are gorgeous.

Re: RC10T decal vendors
Thanks for the link! I'd never seen those guys before.
It also confirms my suspicion that the box art for the RC10T uses decals from a bunch of different sheets.

RC10T decal vendors
'Evening! Is there anywhere to get the reproduced decals for the RC10T other than MCI? I love MCI and I use them for nearly everything but their RC10T decal sheets are missing many of the decals from the box art for both the team truck and the original kit. So I'm looking for a decal sheet that's co...

Re: RC10GT electric conversion
I got my RPM rear arm mounts in today so I got those dropped in the truck. And as I did I was sitting there flexing the rear end and even though it was a lot better with the addition of the aft engine mount/chassis stiffener, I still wasn't happy with it. So, because I can't leave well-enough alone,...

Re: RC10GT electric conversion
I think it's done. As in done-done. Mostly because I can't think of much else to do. Haha. I couldn't settle on one tire combo, so I got two! For running on carpet, I've got JConcepts Pin Downs on the rear, Swaggers on the front. For just general running I've got some more traditional Amazon cheapie...

Re: RC10GT electric conversion
I was going to go with a brushed setup like I did on the T3 just to keep it oldschool but this Reedy system was really cheap and I couldn't pass it up. Your conversion looks great though! I went ahead and installed the aft engine mount back on mine to stiffen up the rear a bit. I had to trim the far...

Re: RC10GT electric conversion
Turned out darn nice. What did you use for the motor mount? Looks like a V2 Dynotech. Yup, that's exactly what it is. It's really inexpensive and seeing it on eBay really jumpstarted this project. The only thing I wish it had was some method to bolt the motor mount to the classis itself to use the ...

RC10GT electric conversion
I got this RC10GT way back when I was a teenager. Probably around 1998 or so. I bought it without an engine, so for one summer me and a friend ran it on a worn-out old OS engine he had. I fondly remember driving the hell out of this thing. Starting it with a drill and sending it out for more. Then m...

Re: New to me Factory Team RC10T3
Yeah I ended up winning those shock caps. Man, they look great on the truck!
This was a fun project. I'd really like to get it down to the carpet track on a free-run night. I think it'd be a lot of fun there.

Re: New to me Factory Team RC10T3
Coming together. She's a runner again. I still need to glue the tires on - waiting for tire glue. I didn't realize the V2 of the Quicrun 1080 didn't include the programming card so I had to figure out how to do that to disable the drag brake but everything else is good to go. I also replaced most of...

Re: New to me Factory Team RC10T3
Thanks for the warm welcomes! I've been in this hobby for a very long time and it's always nice to join a new community and find friendly, like-minded people. I got my wheels and tires in. Body came in too but I'm waiting for decals and paint for that. So until then, have a couple pictures with my r...

Re: New to me Factory Team RC10T3
Thanks for the heads-up on the motor! I've got this same motor running in an RS4 MT and an RS4 Rally (Two other cars from my teenage years!) and never had an issue but I'll be sure to keep a close eye on it. This one's going to be a pavement princess. I found a set of new-old stock Road Hawg IIs and...

New to me Factory Team RC10T3
So there I was, innocently browsing the ole' eBay for an RC10T roller, shocked at how brutally-expensive they've become, when I stumbled across this gem. From the body it just looked like an old T3 RTR roller. A million of them out there, right? But then I dug deeper and started looking at the pictu...
