Re: EXO Designs Ultima "Mid" Build

I'm curious as well. Could the front up-kick be a different angle? I'm also curious if Exo plans to re-stock this kit? I purchased the last one they had on the shelf. Here's a few pics of what's included.

EXO Designs Ultima "Mid" Build

Hey all! I'm usually an all vintage guy. But I'm stepping outside my box to build an EXO Designs Ultima Mid. I guess you could also call it an Optima Mid 2wd conversation. Anyway, I have a set of aluminum wheels for an Ultima and I wanted to do something unique to showcase them. This kit caught my e...

Re: The Official "What is it?" Thread

I have an RC10 6-gear transmission with Phillips head diff shaft. Could it be a Trackmaster shaft or a different brand? It's in the smoothest 6-gear I've experienced. Yes, Trackmaster. If they were more common and reasonably priced, all of my six gears would have them. Thanks for the confirmation, ...

Old RC10 Mid Motor Conversion Kit or One Off?

I saw this RC10 mid motor conversion on eBay today. Not very sophisticated with the exposed spur gear. Just curious if this was a mass produced kit or a one off?

Re: Original Procat?

Nice Procat! Some did this chassis mod to the Procat and XLS saddle pack to lower the COG. This was of course not a theme as long as one drove the stick pack chassis. Looks like a mix of parts with transmission plates from XL/XLS, older screws etc. Procat rear wishbone bracket. The one way shafts (...

Re: Original Procat?

That's interesting. I'm new to Schumachers, myself. Like you mentioned, I could only dream of buying the top shelf kits as a kid. So you think the drivetrain could be from an early Cat, like a SWB/XL/XLS?

I'll post pics of the front and rear drives after removing them. Thanks for the information.

Re: Original Procat?

Thanks 1911Colt. Yes, I'm not worried about a particular date, just that the buggy is from the era of my childhood. I know it's weird, but I only like the vintage rc cars.

This is my first Schumacher and I wanted to make sure I didn't misread what I bought.

So you're in SE Indiana?

Original Procat?

Hello forum gurus, I picked up this Procat off ebay last week because the suspension arms and drivetrain components looked in very nice condition. Also, the build had the patina of an original that's been boxed up for a couple decades. Though the chassis is butchered and missing parts, I wanted an o...

Here's a close up of the inner hub assembly. Does this "NSK TORR FC-4K" help with identification? I'm clueless about these 4WD locking hubs. Thanks again.

The roll cage is still available, and in several different colors.
Any idea how close the modern orange is to original? I would like to keep the cage but if the color shade matches then I could swap out the damaged pieces. That would save me a lot of work.
