Stoopid questions follow.
Whats hex or non hex wheels mean?
I assume those new wheels would not work with my vintage RC10 and its bearings?

Re: Vintage motor questions/discussion
I like this thread. I have a question. When I power up my tx and then the rx, things twitch to neutral as expected. If i let it sit for a bit I can here the a servo doing a small twitch occasionally. Not sure if its the steering or throttle servo. Will need to pull the body so see for sure. Ideas on...

Applied some 35 year old stickers and some modern ones as well. Need to get another sheet with some period correct stickers to add on still.

Re: We need a "The Worst" body painting poll.
I use the Tamiya masking tape for the lines, then blue painters tape for bulk coverage. And always do a real light coat first. It reduces bleeding. I used blue 3M masking tape and didn't experience too much bleeding. The hard part was doing the second color (white) where I had to mask off the orang...

Re: We need a "The Worst" body painting poll.
I painted this today. First time. Its an old body and has flaws before painting even started. I may need to look into this liquid mask stuff. Using tape is a pain in the A$$.

Re: RC10 Championship Edition resurrection
Ok, take it easy on me. Never painted a body before but did one this afternoon. Took longer to mask it with tape that do the painting. I had some bleed through on the white paint areas when doing the orange that I didn't wipe up good before I did the white. Thats the slight orange smudegs you see on...

We'll see what happens when I paint my RC10 body here in a few days. Waiting for humidity to not be 100%.

Re: RC10 Championship Edition resurrection
Masked off and ready for paint. We'll see how well the tape works. I taped and cut to get the curves. I already masked the windows. I may take the silver and to the A and B pillars with it but haven't decided yet. Its a simple scheme, a bit of a take off on the box art but with just the orange (came...

Re: My rc10 projects
I bet that hole was for mounting a charging port so the body didn't have to be removed and the battery unplugged to charge it. That for me has always been an irritation with my RC10, but I would never poke a hole in the metal chassis. Maybe mount a plug somewhere easy to get to or add it onto the bo...

Re: RC10 Championship Edition resurrection
Got some supplies from Amain here in Charlotte, no shipping cause its close enough I can pickup at the distribution warehouse.
Already painted some things and put the new tires on the buggy. I'll be masking the body and wing next.
