Thanks Folks!
You're right, the bolts pass through and thread to the metal motor plate. The directions weren't idiot proof enough I guess.
All we have to do now is finish the shocks, paint the body and rob some electrics from my "vintage" car.

No threads in T4.1 Transmission Housing?
The screws for the t4.1 transmission housing are not catching any thread. Is this a known problem or am I doing something wrong?

Re: Help Picking Out New Electronics
Sorry, I should have been more clear. I'm looking for something I can get now that will work with my brushed motor and nicad batteries now. I might move to lipo and brushless if I am still having fun. In addition, I have a few more brushed motors in other cars so it would be nice to do an easy swap ...

Help Picking Out New Electronics
I have a number of RC10s from the late eighties. All of my electronics still work with the exception of the ESCs. I have a Novak T1 and a Novak T4 that seem to be broken. I have NICADS that I charge with a victor engineering charger and the old Futaba servos, receiver and transmitter seem to be work...

My Old Cars . . .
Here are some pictures of my cars. I will upload some pictures of my other non AE cars soon.
I am about $400 from putting a brushless system in these cars and showing these Traxxas people what fast means.

Re: Poor first run
Thanks for all of the responses. The motor is brand new and the brushes seem to have broken in correctly. I will try again to solder a real connection and will try to find some 16 guage wire as well. I am currently using 14 guage wire to go to the motor because that is all I had. I really have no id...

Poor first run
I recently dug my old RC10s out of the basement and have put one together. I have a new battery and a new engine that I bought myself for christmas. I am using an old novak receiver and an old novak T1 speed controller. The new engine is a trinity chameleon. I had a heck of a time soldering the engi...

Novak T1 and T4 Questions
Hello, I am a new member. Thanks in advance. I am trying to get some of my old toys running. Does anyone know what the two small red wires are on my Novak T1 and T4 are used for. On my T1 they were shorted together, but on my T4 they are cut cleanly. Other wires that are accounted for are 4 16 guage...
