Re: Can this buggy be raced without spending a fortune?
Here's the battery I mentioned above. http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__24222__Turnigy_nano_tech_6600mah_2S2P_65_130C_Hardcase_Lipo_Pack_USA_Warehouse_.html Turnigy also makes a good lipo charger, the accucell-6. I have a couple of them for my track chargers. Another thing about brushless r...

Re: Can this buggy be raced without spending a fortune?
about the least you can get away with for a decent combo is the speed passion stock spec system, it really is the bottom rung though, if other people are out there with better motors (stock esc is pretty much all the same in brushless, as long as it's a "non boost" class) you will get out ...

Re: Can this buggy be raced without spending a fortune?
So I'm looking at these brushless combos now and I really like this setup here - http://www.hobbypartz.com/26p-blcombo-toro18-25a-5050kv.html This seems like a good deal on a brushless combo deal and it can handle the LiPo battery pack as well if I want to invest in that. that setup is for 18th sca...

Re: Can this buggy be raced without spending a fortune?
If you're conscious of your lipo and you know it's limitations, then in a race setting you'll be fine. it's people don't pay attention that get themselves into trouble. I ran lipo for years on esc's with no voltage cutoff. Fact of the matter is that you'll be stepping backwards if you invest in new ...

Re: 19T brushed motor for RC10
If you're going to race 19t the best option hands down is an epic based 19t (trinity Komodo dragon) with trinity purple med/heavy overhead springs and Finishline F brushes. Properly preped it's the best 19t motor out there. When the cons are on their final cut at about .260 they scream for their las...

Re: 17.5 in a Stealth Transmission
I've got three race nights on mine, (one night with a 10.5 and two with an 8.5) I'm using a V2 B4 slipper. zero problems, diff is smooth.

Re: Show me your T4's
I LOVE stadium truck racing, unfortunately it's dead around here for the most part. It would be a fun bashed though if that's what you're into?

my best friend was flying to Phuket for a beach vacation when the the tsunami hit. The flight was diverted to Manila where she was stuck for a few days before ending the vacation early.

Re: New member, potential vendor, and RC10 fan!
Chris, welcome to the board! Nice work! I'm one of the guys on here that races old rc10's competitively against the newer buggies. I for one (and I'm sure I speak for many of the members here) would like to see some of the parts reproduced that are hard to get that are prone to breakage. Rear inner ...

any 2wd 2.2" buggy tires. here is what comes with the current RC10's which will fit just fine. If you're planning to go to the track then find out what people are using and go from there. http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXEPG1&P=SM http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/w...

Re: Modern Slipper for a Vintage Transmission
Looks very much like a B3/T3 slipper assembly. Not sure how good the blue duratrax slipper disc's are though? might want to try to see if an AE disc will fit if the duratrax disc isn't up to the job.
Either way, you're right, much better than no slipper at all.
