I've looked at the velvet shocks but the price is pretty high. I'm looking for decent performance at a decent price. This is my runner, so era doesn't matter much to me.

I've been working on my platinum shocks for my Ultima and I just can't get them to work as well as golds. I'm thinking of either finding some used golds or going for something more current. Any ideas would be helpful.

Are there any tips to tuning or working over Platinum shocks to make them work as well as golds? I have a Turbo Ultima with 20wt in the rear and 40wt in the front (going to 20). The A&L lethal weapon is still available, it has a slipper assembly and everything. I've been running a 3900kv in my PRO XL for quite some time and haven't had any issues on the stock tranny. I recommend Robinson pinions, I have a couple of Traxxas pinions and the tend to whine a bit more.

Let me know how the belt works. I just ordered several more from sdp-si for backup. What kind of tires/wheels are you going to use? I have fitted mine with Custom Works Street-tracks, work pretty well with the stock 3 piece rims.

I picked up a Duratrax Element 3900kv the other day for my Ultima runner, it should work great for the Javelin. It is inexpensive as well. I run a 19T Komodo Dragon in my other Ultima and Slingshot and the Element is much faster, I think I'll be dropping the brushless in the Slingshot for test run.

The wheels are for the shelf. I have another set of tires and rims for the rare occasion that I run the car. I may try their chrome paint as another option.

I'm finishing up my Turbo Ultima restore, everything is in great condition with the exception of the wheels, they have a few blemishes and I'm wondering what to use to repaint/refinish them. I ordered the part of ebay, cost an arm and 1/2 a leg to get the car going. I'm going to order a couple from SDI next week and cut them to size.

Appreciate the assistance, still no luck on finding an actual supplier for the belt in question, even using the part number from the belt itself. I'm going to have to do a bit more research and make a few phone calls to see if I can track something down.

I've counted mine 4 separate times, 67 looks to be the count. What car did the belt with 64 teeth come from? I would like to find the industrial equivalent to save a bit of coin if I can. The markings on the belt have worn off with time.

The belt has 67 teeth. I believe it is a 3mm pitch belt and it is 5mm wide.
