Re: ID Help RC10T Nitro Conversion

After reading this thread I had to go dig mine out of storage. It's new built and never run but it's missing the engine mount. Temple, Do you have a extra one still? I'll check. No promises though. I have not looked through that stuff in a while, and I did sell some pieces to another member a while...

Re: ID Help RC10T Nitro Conversion

Stock RC10T body worked if I can remember, you shouldn't have any problem. I just went downstairs and looked in my garrage and I could only see 2 Losi truck body, more I think about it, the stock 10T body, I believe I had to cut small opening for the top of the shocktower to be exposed. The 10GT bod...

Re: ID Help RC10T Nitro Conversion

I believe this kit was the "first run" batch we made, later we hard coated the chassis and it was same color (greenish, not gold) like the newer associated shock body, it did make the chassis more durable. Before running this truck, I would send the chassis off to have it hard coated, you ...

Re: ID Help RC10T Nitro Conversion

I thought there were about couple of hundred units made it out before Associated came out with their gas truck (Rich might remember exact numbers, I can call him later). When I approached Associated about designing a gas truck for them, they encouraged me to come up with my own and they can sell me ...

Re: ID Help RC10T Nitro Conversion

There is a very good chance that it may have belong to Cliff Lett at one time, my hand built prototype of RC10T gas, I can only recall making about 5~6 units, I sent one to west coast (for Cliff), 3~4 for my buddies in Kansas City area, I gave one to a guy I met in Atlanta Georgia (Kyosho Gas Race),...

Re: ID Help RC10T Nitro Conversion

I would like to add a little more detail if you guys don’t mind, I did send Cliff a prototype as a gift, just a favor I wanted to do for a great guy who just happens to works for Associated (or maybe I just wanted a “pat on the back” from a famous RC racer). My conversion kits may have influenced or...

Re: ID Help RC10T Nitro Conversion

How it all started was when I got into the RC Racing scene back in the late 80's, Associated introduced their "Stealth Transmission", what a great diff it had, I'm sorry, you guys already knew that. Then they released their 10T Truck and I wanted one. I found out about a race in Champagne ...

Re: ID Help RC10T Nitro Conversion

I can look around my garrage for a motormount for ya, if all else fails I can make you another mount or convert it to the newer upright mount. Since it was a prototype, mounting hole location in the chassis could vary, I may have to ask you to give me some numbers or worse case senario send me just ...

Re: ID Help RC10T Nitro Conversion

Hello everyone, I'm new here so please excuse me, my friend Rich (A-Main Racing) sent me this link and WOW, it brings back many fond memories. It's been a long time since I messed with my conversion or any RC at all. This unit in this picture is what I hand built for someone, a prototype if I recall...
