Re: How can one eliminate an engravement on a Gold Pan Chass
Steve it gets better. In the late 80’s or early 90’s all new Arizona Driver Licenses used the Social Security Number as the Drivers License. Several years later Arizona realized that wasn’t a good idea, and re-issued new licenses without the Social Security Number. As far as the RC-10 goes, I think,...

Re: How can one eliminate an engravement on a Gold Pan Chass
Yup. If I ever get rid of the tub, I'll make sure those numbers are permanently removed. Some here in the USA, might remember that at one time, at least in some cities, you were encouraged to engrave your name and your Driver's License, on anything of value. Then becasue your Driver's License number...

Re: How can one eliminate an engravement on a Gold Pan Chass
If I use a decal, it would be one that is easily replaceable.

Re: How can one eliminate an engravement on a Gold Pan Chass
That's funny Shodog. :) Thanks for your advise, I think I'll leave the mark alone for the time being. Maybe cover it up with a decal, (thanks scr8p for the suggestion) so I can take photos of the car. Maybe in the future I might sand down that part of the side of the chassis that has the mark on it,...

Re: 1985? RC10 Buggy with "A" Chassis
Thanks for the advise. I think that's what I'll do. I'll clean the car up, and start to carefully assemble it. Once the car is assembled, I'll know what parts are missing, and it will be easier to decide what to do with the car. If it turns out, I can complete the car without investing a lot of mone...

Re: 1991 RC10 TEAM CAR No. 6036
None so far. I don't plan to depart with them, at least for now. This model, I think is 100% complete. Don't know if you saw a partial picture of it, but I also have the original unpainted body including the wing and the interior piece. I raced this model locally at SCR (Scottsdale RC Speedway) for ...

How can one eliminate an engravement on a Gold Pan Chassis
I must have been going through a dumb phase in the early 90's. First I totally strip down a RC-10 buggy down to every nut bolt and screw for no reason at all, and next I engraved my initials and Social Security Number on the side of the Gold Pan. Is there a good way to eliminate this engravement? It...

1985? RC10 Buggy with "A" Chassis
I believe, I bought this RC10 buggy around 1985 but it could have been a little bit later or earlier. When I bought my new RC-10 in 1991, I totally dissembled this car right down to almost every nut, bolt and gear (What was I thinking?). This car should be nearly 100% complete when it comes to the p...

1991 RC10 TEAM CAR No. 6036
Last time, I drove this car was in 1992. I took the wheels off and parked it. I intended to drive it later, but never got around to it. It's been either in a storage unit or in a garage since then. I found it today, and here is what it looks like untouched since then. When I bought it in 1991, I did...
