Re: Alternatives to B4 CVA/CVDs
Ran it for all of 2 minutes Sunday. Seemed ok, until the pin popped out and the CVD bone fell off! Rookie mistake, they come pre-assembled and I didn't check that the grub screw was done up tight. Unless I can find a rebuild kit, then I'll go back to the original dogbones. Or I could spend another £...

Re: Alternatives to B4 CVA/CVDs
Thanks, I hadn’t considered that, in the meantime I’ve got hold of FTX Edge cvds. As the Edge looks so similar to the B4 I thought it was worth a try. I also needed the rear hubs as its metric. Drilled the hinge pin holes in the arms out to 3mm to match the hub and then discovered the dogbone is a c...

Alternatives to B4 CVA/CVDs
Hope this is the right place to post, I'm trying to find a replacement CVA/CVD set for my B4.2 and can't seem to find any in the UK. Every time I've ordered something outside the UK I seem to get stung on taxes or shipping is crazy expensive. (I think everyone must have used them on their RC10s!) Do...

Re: do you think the b4 is fragile?
Is the b4 fragile? No
Are the other cars mentioned stronger? Yes
Having said that, I don't think it's by much

Re: Growing buggies
I think it's even more noticable in the 'Micro' class within the UK. It started out as 1/18 scale with correspondingly sized wheels and gradually grew and grew until the '1/16' scale cars are the same width as 1/10 touring cars, run 1/10 touring car wheels and the wheelbase is only fractionally shor...

Re: Please help identify RC10 nuts
For a runner then yes, the best nuts to hold the rear wheels on are the steel nyloc nuts, the all nylon ones aren't strong enough imokink wrote:You mean the steel nuts with nylon inserts? There are better than the all nylon nuts?

I can't think of anything else to add to that list tbh, that would make a nice grid line up photo!

Re: Mardave Meteor
Sadly Mardave only have parts for the Meteor that the later Cobra also uses, Meteor parts in general seem to be hard to come by.
Nice looking car you have there, I picked one up a few months back ago on a complete whim and think they're undervalued at the moment.

Re: Coming Soon
Nice!
Just run on the grass, that's what our old school tracks were! It'll save renting the sod cutter, get some old firehose out there to lay it out.
In fact some of our clubs still do, so many are still temporary and can't lay permanent tracks using astroturf or similar

Racing a Tamiya Manta Ray  I think that shows how talented the guy must have been! To be fair his Manta Ray's were the TRF of their day and eventually you could buy something close as the Top Force - RW did a chassis conversion for the Ray and I loved mine, found it more forgiving than...
