Totally agree. Things are fairly boring today compared to the interesting ideas and concepts of yesteryear. Its one of the reasons I'll always be faithful to Tamiya. They still do some things differently.

Thanks for the tip on dyeing the shocks. I've got a pair of Double Dares and my shocks have "pinked" as well.

Are there any weak spots or suggested spares to pick up for the Ultima rerelease kit while they are available? (spurs gears, arms, uprights, anything, etc.) I've read the chassis could at times bend.
