Re: Motor bushing removal
I am sure some people will frown on what I am about to say, but hey ho. To reinstall the bearing into the can I use an old armature with a bronze bushing installed on the pinion end. Then I put the ball race onto the armature and use a 4oz hammer to tap it home. Using the bronze bushing helps take t...

Re: Mr. Mike Reedy passed away.
As Many people have already said, an RC legend and a true gentleman.
I met him in I think 1992 at the 1/10 off road British Grand Prix at the NEC. A totally unasuming Guy and a pleasure to talk too.

Motor maintenance - Have I gone to far?
Hi all, I thought that I would post my collection of motor maintenance tools up including my latest buy. Been collecting stuff for a couple of months now and I think that I am officially addicted  . I blame reading Big Jim`s motor guide and melting my brain  . I have owned a Shinwa moto...

Re: MG Magnum Motor`s including a ceramic shaft
It runs superbly!. I recut the comm, new brushes, new bearings and it still screams.
Right stuck it back on my Shinwa, and with 7.4volts it is doing 31000rpm @3 amps ( I use an adjustable power supply which shows volts and amps pulled)

Re: MG Magnum Motor`s including a ceramic shaft
No problem on the Hijack, infact sometimes it can be a great help.
The MG motor I have is an AYK can. Its good to see that you dont think that I am a lunatic. Most people do when I tell them about this motor.
As for the shaft snapping, I have always been very careful with pinion installation.

Hoping to get over there at some point this year Andy. Be good to do some racing with another familiar face. What do you race when you're there? It`s pretty easy going, and we chop and change thru the heats  I have raced my Cougar 1.5, Cat XLS, Yokomo Hot Dog. Not used my Pro Cat, Sho...

Re: LRP "E" series? Anyone has windings data?
Thanks for the info about these LRP motor`s. I have 3 sat in my workshop awaiting rebuilding.
They are a White E, Orange AE and a Pink E all dating from 1992ish. I acquired them along with a Losi JRX2 Pro and a Pro Se.
Also got a few Revolution motor`s from the same period with the Losi`s.
