Favorites adding the first parts to the chassis watching the progress of the build Least favorites preparing graphite parts solving production issues at that luxury kit making body holes masking and painting bodies Well since a couple of years I actually think the current build will be the last buil...

Re: Your favorite ESC (with photo)
The strange thing is I collect alot of things now which I didn´t like in the past. Not related to ESC only. But they are a part of the history.. But they have to have a reason to collect them. For sure there are items also which I had in the past and don´t want to have again ... for a reason. :D Reg...

Re: Your favorite ESC (with photo)
That is a cool speedo indeed, because it´s a very early Tekin.
Not the 411 or the ones you find at the next corner.
The heatsink is not Tekin. Which manufacturer?
Victor made the round shape but other than that I don´t know.

Re: Looking for specs on some of the early Bolink motors
I got one of those awhile back, and put it in my Challenger. It was NIP, but had surface rust on the can....I had to remove (then reapply) the label to clean it. :? Info on the header card was BL-4000 Stock 05 Motor. I have a very similar motor. But the label is green and the endbell is blue. I´m p...

Re: Your favorite ESC (with photo)
Well I have so many ESCs so it´s hard to chose what´s my favorite.
One of my all time favorites is the Tekin Mospower Controller, which was Tekin´s first ESC.
For me that´s maybe the most beautiful ESC.

Re: Most Unuseful Question Of Ever About Brushed Motors
Beside magnets it´s also the airgap between the armature and the magnets what affects how easy you can spin by hand. And there are big differences for the airgap. Talking about differences of airgap at motors from the same company at similar time frame. I found at Losi Revolution motors. Jack Johnso...

Re: Losi MTM
Well the front plate says Team Losi.
All of the newer motors did have exactly this type of can. But might have also Trinity or Epic at the can.

Re: Info about Peak Performance Motor
There are Peak Performance motors listed in the Guide. https://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?t=18586 Unfortunately the reference guide doesn´t tell the whole story. It is a list with the different types made overall. But the early yellow label motors were just a few of them. The very first motor I...

Re: Demon motor thread - no others please
There were other silver can motors made by Sagami. Not just the ones for Nick. I don´t mean the can type which is known here as Sagami can. Sagami actually made most of the basic teardowns for anyone. Yokomo can ... made by Sagami. HPI can ... made by Sagami. Corally had some special Yokomo silver c...

Re: Demon motor thread - no others please
Regarding the aluminium windings, I wonder why it was tested. To me it makes no sense.
Maybe it´s less weight but a faster spool up time don´t make much sense when traction level is low.
Also aluminium is a quite bad conductor. Also not that easy to wind because it´s more stiff and breaks easily.
