Old School RC10 Video

You all may not know me (I am usualy in the Kyosho, Tamiya and Losi threads) but I found a cool youtube video for the RC10 tonight. My first cars were the Fox and Falcon (which my brother gave me his Flacon) then got a RC12L (still have it and is a runner) others are the JRx-T and Kyosho Maxxum and ...

Trinity Monster Mash

Just a few questions here about the Monster Mash, I got it for my JRX-T when it came out, from what I remember it was pretty decent to bang around with. Now the box says it is for monster trucks and such, so that being said, would it harm a buggy's gears? I intend to put it in my Maxxum FF today and...

Re: Maxxum FF Video Running and Frying electronics

Thanks again all, I think I soldered job was from when I was 15. I think I may take it to a hobby shop and let them play with it and new wires ect... In the mean time I will stick another motor in there. I will also check the esc and see what they can do. At the same time see if they have any old vi...

Re: Maxxum FF Video Running and Frying electronics

Much thanks for all your advice :) I looked at the car today and noticed a slight burntmark in the negative lead on the engine which was disconnected after the car stopped. I also just remembered running the car into the grass a bit about a minute or 2 before it stopped. So I am thinking maybe somet...

Maxxum FF Video Running and Frying electronics

Well I think I finally fried the Novak T1-X or Lemans High Speed Pro motor today. I took this video today and at the end of running, the car stopped and was smoking. I think it could of been the 3800 MAH Nihma with older electronics?. I adjusted the T1-X to the full power setting. The engine was the...

Maxxumm FF Running April 28 2012

Not much of a video yet (Only about a minute and a half of run time), but the Maxxum FF was running again with the new 3800 MAH NiHm battery. It is running a Novak T1-X, & oldschool Futaba black stick, S148 servo and old Futaba Receiver. The Motor is a Lemans High Speed Pro "Red Bell" ...

Re: JRX-T Rebirth and Running after 22+ Years

I am trying to keep the running of my JRXT in one thread with seperate Youtube videos. Here is the first attempt on the pavement (I was being cautious of those naturals). It is not much but just trial and error footage and mere testing. The one thing I need and will be getting soon is a new 2.4 Ghz ...

JRX-T Rebirth and Running after 22+ Years

Not sure where to post this but here we go. Getting ready to run my JRX-T finaly after a long 22+ years of sitting. This is the first start. My Kyosho Maxxum kindly agreed to share it's heart and soul to see the Legend run after a small gear issue which will be fixed soon (you will see that in the v...

Re: Fox (Small Vintage toy from late 80's)

Yup I just watched this video too. From this article http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mini_4WD , "To feed on the high popularity of the cars, Tamiya commissioned Shogakukan, a Japanese publishing company, to produce two anime TV series based on the Mini 4WD cars: Dash! Yonkuro in 1989 by Zaurus Tok...

Re: Fox (Small Vintage toy from late 80's)

Not to sure, I remember getting it back in the day and doing all the research now. Here are a few links I found. Aparently Tamiy started back in 1982 and introudced the whole mini 4wd. I did see a Grasshopper 3 mini I think, but not sure what year. But check out the links, I want to do more research...

Fox (Small Vintage toy from late 80's)

This is a Minature Fox I got as a kid, I am guessing it is from the 87-89 year? I just found it when searching for other rc stuff. It is 4wd and I put the quarter in there so you can see the size of it. I am not sure who made it but it is pretty neat especialy for the detail on the decails and for b...
