Re: Trick looking nitro marine engines?

A pair of K&B .45's with exhaust throttles would be SICK, IMHO.

Re: Moving to Florida

B&T RC Central in Fort Walton Beach (about 1.5 hours from Panama City) is probably your closest offroad track. I haven't be able to get over there to race yet, but its supposed to be a nice track. There is also a track in Tallahassee which is really nice. They just renovated it, and it's killer...

Re: Shipping to Australia?

Also depends on what type of shipping you want. EMS (Express), Air Mail (Priority), Standard Post (Parcel/FCM)

But yea, $50-65 is about right for Air Mail.

Re: Help with shipping unrelated product from US to Canada

"A couple websites"?? How would you know the extent of my research? And how would you know my intended plans for Plasti Dip? There's a lot you're assuming here. I am going to black out some chrome bezels in my front grille, taillights & fog light bezels because (1) some of the plating...

No. 95% of paint dries hard and brittle, whereas Plasti-dip stays rubbery. The flexible Plasti-dip would cause the clear coat to crack and flake pretty quickly.

Re: Help with shipping unrelated product from US to Canada

Any particular reason it has to be Plasti-dip? Unless you aren't planning to have these mods last more than a couple months at most before it starts to look bad, I'd seriously recommend paint, powder coat, or even a vinyl wrap. I guess you haven't done much research on the product; it's extremely d...

Re: Weak servo - any way to diagnose / fix it?

Use a pair of pliers and pull the pins out that hold the gears. You may need to pry the large gear that seats to the potentiometer.

Re: RC300

Pulled it completely apart tonight. Going to give everything a nice cleaning (not restoring) and then will probably try to get her running. I'll need some bearings, a spur gear and a back plate for the Veco 19. Shouldn't be too much $ to get her rolling again.

Re: Weak servo - any way to diagnose / fix it?

In order to remove the board/motor from a savox, you need to remove all the gears to get to the motor screws. Once the motor is loose, you will then need to pry the board/motor assembly left and right (it won't hurt it) in order to get to the screws that hold the potentiometer to the upper case. Rem...

The BP body looks good. Really has a Caterham Racing (F1) theme to it.

Re: RC300

try soaking the parts in brake fluid before losing hope in the painted parts. Good idea. I'll soak them this weekend and see how they turn out. Unfortunately the upper deck does have some cutting and damage, and the front bumper is warped, so I don't have a ton of hope. I can always get some cut fo...

Re: RC300

Thanks. I should really have researched it more (ie; RCMV), cause it is definitely an RC200.

Now I need to find a upper tray and bumper. There's probably 5-6 coats of paint on them. :|

RC300

So, I'll be the first to admit I am not an Associated type of person. This is my first vintage AE, before this I was big into BMT onroads, owning 30-40 over a short amount of years. :D Anyhow, I recently picked up what I believe is an RC300 (it was just delivered 3 hours ago :)) and was wondering if...
