Re: Mid Motor Low CG Spec Carpet Monster
the klien arms are pretty much indestructible. you are much more likely to crack a shock tower, which will likely have to be custom in order to use a narrow bulkhead, so kind of a rock and a hard place to be honest...... could probably get away with just trimming the center out of the truck bulkhea...

Re: Mid Motor Low CG Spec Carpet Monster
Not a lot of progress made in the past week or so, but I did buy some B44 CVA shafts and the seem to be a good length for the Bandit rear arms and mounts. After taking some eyeball measurements, it looks like the front end is going to be too wide by about 10mm, so more than I can remedy by modifying...

I designed the chassis and had it laser cut from 1/8" thick 6061 aluminum.
Was the chassis plate laser cut at your place of business or by another commercial service provider? Link?

Re: Mid Motor Low CG Spec Carpet Monster
Here's where I'm leaving it tonight. I need to order a few hinge pins and longer turnbuckles to fit the RPM arms, as well as figuring out a battery mounting solution for the shorty pack.

Re: Mid Motor Low CG Spec Carpet Monster
Look what showed up today
Original worlds tub weighs about 5.5oz, without the nose plate. This hunk of aluminum weighs about 8.5oz, so hopefully I won't need to use as many chassis weights.
Time to countersink some holes and bend the nose.

Mid Motor Low CG Spec Carpet Monster
The goal of this project is to make a dedicated racer so I can stop breaking parts on my original Worlds Car  I will be using a re-release worlds car as a donor, though admittedly few parts will be carried over. Here is the plan: -custom Single piece 1/8" 6061 aluminum plate chassis with...

R12L Still Competitive?
I know nothing about pan cars. I'm an offroad guy who dabbles in rubber tire touring cars. On the surface, it looks like modern pan cars aren't much different than they were 25 years ago My track wants to start a rubber tire 12th scale class and it has peaked my interest. If I buy an early 90's 12L,...

Modern Body, Vintage Buggy?
I'm working on a mid motor RC10 rerelease, but i need to choose a body. I'd like to try to use a modern looking body (even if it is an ugly cab forward design) because it would fit the profile of my chassis better. Does anybody know of any modern buggies that have a similar width chassis plate that ...

It's a roller now, need to add my electronics. I still need to order a 17.5 motor, wheels, tires, and a body.
