Thanks BF, parts are ordered and it looks like the axles come with the nuts.
Appreciate your help on this one.
Cheers,
Jim

Steering Blocks for 1984 RC10? Help....
Hello All, I miss judged a curb the other day and did a bit of damage to my resurrected 1984 RC10. I have every thing all sorted with the exception of a steering blocks I damaged. The buggy had in-line steering blocks and used the vertical pin to hold the axle, that had a hex on it, captive. I bough...

Re: Gold Pan Rear hub Carrier (ASC6265)
all of the rc10's starting with the 6 gear graphite had 3 degrees of rear toe. team cars, ce's, worlds car..... Hmm....wonder if I changed them at some point....my mis-spent youth may be popping up here. I looked at them closely last night and they look like they are 0* but I could be wrong. Edit-I...

Re: Gold Pan Rear hub Carrier (ASC6265)
6365's are 0. Your car from stock should have 1.5 arm mounts so you would end up with 3 degrees total. Is 3* per side acceptable? From my knowledge of full scale alignment practices this will net more straight line stability and a bit less turn in and rotation. Anything else I have to worry about? ...

Re: Gold Pan Rear hub Carrier (ASC6265)
Thanks for the quick reply guys. I am just using the old girl for some pack yard bashing and am not terribly concerned with keeping her period correct. I am running 2" wheels in the back and the Losi Step Pin tires which seem to work fine. In all my searching I did not come up with any referenc...

Gold Pan Rear hub Carrier (ASC6265)
Hello All, After rebuilding my 6 gear transmission last week I have the old girl running better then ever...it is amazing how much difference there is after spending some time to make sure everything is smooth in the transmission....the little buggy is faster and smoother then ever. Anyhow I put 4 p...

Price Gouging- ASC6614 Idler gears
Not sure where my original post went off top....seems to have been deleted. Anyhow, looking options on where to buy the ASC6614 for a reasonable cost. Back in December I bought a set for $7.99 which while above List price seemed reasonable for a NOS part. Now they are one Ebay for $18-$25 a set. Ser...

Re: Rc10 long arm conversion
No expert here but I just replaced my short arms with OEM long arms while keeping the OEM short shock tower and shocks. Everything's fit fine with no additional parts and while I have only run it on asphalt it seems to have a slight more grip on the front but this may be due to going to 20* caster b...

Re: Ready to do some upgrades on my Cadillac
May be too late but I just did a BL conversion to an old 6 gear car, I went with a 13.5T (3300KV) motor and it has a good 100 minutes plus on it and so far so good....no ugly sounds or any indications of distress even after running some 3S packs through it. I totally disassembled the 6 gear, cleaned...

I just took apart the broken parts and it looks like the caster blocks are in fact 15* when lined up with a protractor.

Re: A Stamp caster blocks?
Copy that....this would be a good reason to switch to long front arms? If I did that what would the ideal caster block to use?

A Stamp caster blocks?
Hello all, I had my first failure today running my newly restored glod pan when a caster block broke. I did some looking and it looks like the car came with the 6213 15* blocks but doing more reading it looks like using the 6210 30* caster blocks have their advantages of giving more front end bite. ...

Re: Revitalizing an OLD RC10

I also played around with a amp draw calculator and it seems I am only drawing an average of just over 9 amps.....heck, my 20oz 3D planes draw mo...

Re: Revitalizing an OLD RC10
She runs....with mostly no issues. About the only issue I am having is the rear shocks are leaking like sieves from the top. She is not as fast as I thought she would be with a GPS verified top speed of 16MPH but plenty of torque for throttle on oversteer. I think I could gear her a bit taller since...
