Re: New member, new b3 project!
Also I was playing around in my basement a couple nights ago and wrecked the servo. What should I be looking at for a replacement? Doesn't need to be competition grade just reasonable (Less than $50) and durable.

Re: New member, new b3 project!
Do what i did an put a b4 layshaft in so you can use the twin pad slipper system. Its a direct fit as the gear is the same size. Youll need the slipper b4 plates as well as the springs and thrust as well as a gearcover and i opted for an rpm one on ebay. I will try and post pics when i get a chance...

Re: New member, new b3 project!
I hear that on the thunder tiger parts, $35 plus I think for the bulkhead alone! Maybe when I'm done buying chargers and all the basics again I'll splurge on that stuff. On a seperate note I ordered some parts from team associated today, the Carbon rear arms were on sale for $2.99 in cart instead of...

Re: RC10B3 Replacement Chassis Availability?
Hate to bump such an old thread, but can anyone confirm that the Thunder Tiger chassis will indeed allow me to bolt on the front and rear halfs of the B3? Broke a B3 graphite chassis last night :( Yes it will bolt right up, seems like a tweeked re-mold of the B3. The material TT uses isn't the same...

Re: New member, new b3 project!
Well I have spent most of the morning searching and studying on the stealth transmission. Found a post on here that said Customworks GBX was same as the stealth 2.4 so I ordered a couple of customworks GBX outdrives. The thunder tiger ones were only a buck or so less so I went with these. I should b...

Re: New member, new b3 project!
Hey Jake just saw this thread, cool about digging out yur B3! Even though I am an old school rc10 guy from my youth I really like the engineering of the B3. I have a few builds of B3's but this racer might give you some ideas. http://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=26260 Hey thanks. I hav...

Re: New member, new b3 project!
Hey thanks for the pic! Was on vacation for awhile, in the mean time my boxes of parts started showing up and I have the chassis put back together, also rebuilt the diff and shocks. Now I'm waiting for the AC680 charger to show up and one NIMH battery I ordered to test electronics. Mind if I ask wha...

Re: New member, new b3 project!
IMO it might make more sense to purchase the same cars for the kids. That way parts cars you may purchase will offer up parts for all your cars. I recently picked up a used T3 basher because parts are readily available. Additionally, new parts are available from more recent productions as the Thund...

Re: New member, new b3 project!
Another good option for a brushless system is the Duratrax Element (rebadged Sidewinder). Last I checked it was avaliable on Tower Hobbies scratch and dent for $82. Decent system, not worth full retail, but for $82, it's a great value and has an actual warranty. Can you still program this one? I sa...

Re: New member, new b3 project!
Wow, good to know. I was thinking that you would have to do some updgrading in the trans after taking mine apart. I ordered a spare black idler gear last night for $4 with free shipping off ebay so I'm getting prepared. What else can be done to modify the trans? I'm thinking I might just order two n...

Re: New member, new b3 project!
Thanks for the info 2500 Sub. Nice looking car, mine is pure yellow and in pieces at the moment. I really have my eyes set on the exact same brushless system if I were to upgrade, about how fast does yours run and how long on that 5000 mah battery? Any good pics of how you wire that esc? Did you buy...

Re: New member, new b3 project!
Wow, .99 cents, good find. I almost paid $13 for one out of Canada due to crazy shipping. I'll just buy a few of these and be good to go.

Re: New member, new b3 project!
Hey guys, thanks for the info and the nice replies. I have the car all stripped down now just waiting for UPS boxes to start showing up. I am going on a trip for the next week and will order charger/batteries when I return but it does sound like I'll be going with the Tenergy and the Fly Sky for the...

New member, new b3 project!
Greetings everybody, I am yet another "was cleaning out the garage" story. Last week I was going through some stuff at a relatives and opened a box with a familiar yellow body and black, neglected chassis. Wow, my old B3 Team car. I bought it RTR from Tower Hobbies after saving my pennies ...
