Re: Kent Clausen RC10L Tide Build
Paydirt on the Super Speedway car! This is the one to go for. It'll be a challenge, but definitely possible. The hard anodized shock I can get done,I have a Novak 410-MXc,already,and a few sheets of carbon fiber for the chassis. The quick change battery setup,T plate, the Holeshot Racing Super Cooler...

Re: Kent Clausen RC10L Tide Build
FasterLouder What tire do you plan on putting on the car? The reason I'm asking is that I have at least 75-100 new old stock wheels with tires I mounted, glued, trued, and balanced back in the day and never ran. Lots of (white) BBK type that have numerous compound foam tires. I don't have any TRC ca...

Re: How long would it take you to build an RC10?
I'm not sure what I will do with this car but considering the fact I do not have permission to access the buy/ sell/ trade area, I just thought the topic of 300 hr. builds might be a way to expose it and gauge any interest if I do decide to part with it. so that is just a phishing expedition to get...

Re: How long would it take you to build an RC10?
I think its in the right spot, and about the 300 hour build, I was probably talking about me as well  Speaking of a 300 hr. build, here is an example of one of mine. I'm not sure what I will do with this car but considering the fact I do not have permission to access the buy/ sell/ trade a...

Foucault current (or Eddy)
Any of you guys ever dealt with an Eddy bouncing around between the pinion and spur with old school electronics installed in an RC10? I have not done any testing with any other rc vehicle and cannot say this would have ever been an issue while running this car, but I do know this - I've had issues w...

Re: RCPS #110 MIRAGE SS BODIES
They made the Mirage with and without the scoop If yours is a #120 and has no scoop then these on E-bay must be #120's instead of #110's (as advertised). Am I correct ? Mine are both #110's and HAVE the scoop. My World's Car Manual refers to the included (original body) as an RC Performance Special...

Re: Parma Cheetah 18th Scale
I have acquired both a nip bobcat and a nip cheetah and started a thread on them here: http://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=33&t=30595&hilit=Parma Pretty cool cars considering the 1981 dates on the paperwork. If you have pics to add from yours, we would love to see them! I also have lear...

Corally Speed Control
Duh! It says right on the front of my Corally speed control 4-5 minutes.
I still don't know what the model # is though.

Nicad Cell Reversal
It was pretty common practice (back in the day), to use resistors to bring the cell voltage down close to zero to remove the memory effect that all nickel cadmium batteries exhibit. The only problem I ever had with this was the fact that no two nicads would ever have the exact nominal voltage. That ...

Re: Finally found a 410K
Ive got two here. When I raced seriously I used them at a continuous 100amp setting and just went half speed on the infield and flat out on the straight and it was rapid, but one mistake and you would dump on the last lap. Still using at 10D corally geared on 10:1 using 1400 and 1700s was hard work...

Re: How long would it take you to build an RC10?
I wonder... I have never done a speed build. I know I can make a built car into kit form pretty fast though, Does turning a built car into a kit mean that all the pieces have to be whole? If that's the case, then I'd probably be towards the rear of the field in that race as well. Now I'm ...

Re: Showcase's Kinwald Worlds inspired WOIN build
Thanx XO! I used red locktite and have no fear of the wheel nuts coming off. Optimally I would agree with you a smaller nylon lock nut would be the best solution. I had a hard time finding any thin (blue) 8-32 nuts for a TC3 rebuild. I wound up taking the # 6943's and turning them down. I just cut ...

Re: How long would it take you to build an RC10?
I think its in the right spot, and about the 300 hour build, I was probably talking about me as well  Sounds like you enjoy working on them also. You can probably drive them as well. I can take a full scale car, (along with that seat of the pants feel for what it's doing), and do pretty we...
