Re: My old is new RC10 vintage racer build thread!
So the pan chassis had been media blasted to relieve it of its nasty paint/powder coated filth and is being powder coated as we speak. Looks like the recipe will change for this build a little...if you see something that isn't going to work, feel free to let me know. All the electronics are things t...

So how does it drive? It's been 5 years and I hope a lot of packs through it by now.

Re: Graphite or pan chassis for resto mod racer?
Agreed. I have an original AE chassis that appears very stiff and an aftermarket version that is much more flexible. I was thinking of making a top deck for it and using a B4 front nose and top plate with it. Even if it didn't work on the track , it'd sure look cool lol

B4 front end for a resto mod?
Has anyone grafted a b4 bulkhead and top plate to a vintage pan chassis? I did some searching and came up empty...seems like a little trimming of the nose piece and drilling a few holes would do the trick. Opinions? I know the B4 has 25 degrees of kick..what is the rc10 use for kick?

Re: Graphite or pan chassis for resto mod racer?
Well yesterday I glass beaded one of my alloy chassis's and dropped it and a nose plate off to be powder coated. I guess I'll just have to build one of each and see which one i like better. The other will end up a shelf queen lol

Re: Graphite or pan chassis for resto mod racer?
I agree 100%. I used to build real race cars and we were alway looking to stiffin the chassis any way that we could. Notice in the pics of massami's worlds car he used a double deck graphite arrangement. I was thinking about building an uper deck and incorporating an angled bell crank steering system.

Black type 3 hard anodizing!
Anyone interested in having parts hard anodized? I
Getting together a lot of parts to run all at one time in black. I can anodize anything you want, and provide the surface prep as necessary. If your interested, let me know. Thanks!

My old is new RC10 vintage racer build thread!
Ok so I am starting a new build on an old buggy. I'm going to see how much new technology I can inject into this vintage dog. Lots of new tech AE stuff , such as VTS slipper clutch, B44 aluminum rear hubs with carbon "c" towers,b44 CVA axles, ceramic diff and thrust bearings, hex B4 wheels...

Re: Graphite or pan chassis for resto mod racer?
I'll probably take a couple chassis down and have them type 3 hard annodized and run chassis tape on the bottom to protect it. May even make an offer for a group buy if anyone else wants them done.

Graphite or pan chassis for resto mod racer?
I am building a modernized RC10 race car and am looking for opinions about chassis selection. I have several a/b/c pan chassis's and also several graphite pieces. I am using the rc carbon works carbon 3mm worlds towers and thought a carbon chassis would look awesome and save some weight. What do you...

MIP CVD for vintage RC10
Has anyone tried using the MIP CVD bones for a vintage RC10 with the B4 style cvd axle shafts to use modern B4 hex wheels? You could even use the T4 hex's to make it a little wider if you desired. Thought i'd throw this out there to see if anyone tried it before I shelled out the $40 to find out it ...
