Foam tyres for Procat retro build...

Ok, this one will show you how old I am! A long time ago I used to race a Procat on carpet in the early 90's at what was Ilkeston model car club and is now Broxtowe (UK). I am looking to build a replica of my car from back then, but I need to find the right foam tyres. I believe they were called lil...

Re: Tamiya Super Astute 2018 Special Edition

Release date in the UK is looking like 21st December. I haven't pre-ordered, but I'm going to try and get one to build over Christmas. I already got a set of VQS shocks to go on it...

Re: RIP Phil Booth

I used to talk to Phil quite often back in the day when I used to race a lot - all my RC gear came from his shop. Was always a really nice bloke, sad to hear the news yesterday. RIP.

Re: Where to find metal gears for rc10 B3 differential and maybe the stealth transmission?

For retro racing I upgraded my B3 to a b4 top shaft and slipper assembly, it's a straight swap and takes the strain out the single slipper pad that comes in the kit.

Re: Optima mid turbo - convert to Javelin

I checked the manuals, gearboxes look the same, wing mounts for Javelin are separate and bolt on the same as the spacers on the Turbo, and parts are available in UK. I see the Turbo has a skid plate, not sure if this can be used with the cage as well?. If there is something else I have missed please...

Re: Optima mid turbo - convert to Javelin

Not mid, don't know why I typed that, thanks for confirming its rear motor Optima that I would need.

I like the gold on the Optima turbo so hopefully a conversion can be done. I'll download the manuals and compare gearbox casings and parts availability. I had not though about the wing mount.

Optima mid turbo - convert to Javelin

I cant find a legendary series Javelin at the moment, is it possible to convert a Optima mid turbo using the roll cage? Is there anything else that I would need? Many thanks.

Re: T3/B3 Skid Plates?

It will be a runner, I am just waiting for the last part - a battery strap of all things. I could only find the Thundertiger version and it has had to come all the way from Australia.

Re: T3/B3 Skid Plates?

I just did the same thing, built up a B3 from parts I had. Will you only consider new parts?

I found even the simplest things like the correct ball studs are hard to find and prices have gone through the roof.

Re: Need help B3 top shaft into a B4.2

I did it the other way round so I could run a B3 with a B4 slipper for a brushless setup. It was a straight swap so I can't see why you couldn't do it the other way.....

Help getting parts to UK

Hi, there is a couple of parts I need from RC Addiction in Oregon, but they don't ship international. Would one of you guys be willing to get the parts for me and ship them to me in the UK? The parts are low value - about $15.00 or so, I will obviously Paypal you the funds first. The parts are to fi...

Reedy Ti motors

Can someone help with some info on these please? A Google search didn't really help....

I was wondering what the different colour labels represented, there are black, blue and red, are they for single, double, triple winds?

Thanks, Mark.
