Re: Demon motor thread - no others please

But I wonder why it is actually tech talk between us and no other guys involved.
I know there have been interest before. And Demon motors had been very popular in Europe.
So guys come on and post your motors and knowledge. Or questions.

Re: Demon motor thread - no others please

No. I also never have heard but could ask my friend, next time I see him. But I´m not sure if this could be really used at races or would be classified as outlaw. Also I´m not sure if it works with standard armatures or if a longer armature axle would be needed. And the hole for the bearings have to...

Re: Demon motor thread - no others please

The can is exactly the same as with my Power King. The sticker says Eliminator instead of Modified but is the same otherways. Remember it is early version and doesn´t say Power King. I don´t want to disassemble at the moment. But looking into the frontplate the wire seems like a single wind regardin...

Re: Delta Super J

Similar but not same.
Old cells were 15 mm diameter where those new cells are 17mm.
So for a 5 cell pack there is a difference of 12 mm in length

Re: Demon motor thread - no others please

The Eliminator thing is a bit confusing. I understand the Dec 87 ad says Single 16T. So there was just one version of the Eliminator at that time. So maybe my Eliminator should be a Single 16T as well, correct? If there was not any change before. Seeing the 1990 ad it seems to me there was no certai...

Re: Demon motor thread - no others please

Thanks for the ads.
It seems my Eliminator is quite old.
The sticker for that motor still come with the old 01 phone number.
I don´t know when the phone number changed, but this could tell the time frame and real wind.

Re: Demon motor thread - no others please

Had a look to my two other Demon motors but no photos. One motor is Yokomo based as well and the sticker looks exactly like the Green A Reedy. But there is not the small white timing sticker. So the question is, is it a real Reedy motor or not. I don´t want to disassemble at the moment. But the arma...

Re: Demon motor thread - no others please

My friend and me knew Jamie very well. I´m not sure but think he was sponsored by Mike Reedy directly, but got the motors through Nick. I have to check with my friend, he knows everything about Nick and Demon. He spend two or three weeks at the Adams family at some point ... My Green A also got the ...

Re: Demon motor thread - no others please

Again the armature for this Power King is gone ...
Just an empty can now. :(

Maybe the armature went off but I don´t remember. At least I kept the can.

Re: Demon motor thread - no others please

Great thread - thanks for this. Was an informative read. I was quite surprised to read the early Reedy link as I was not aware of that, but i have just had a skim through of some early Demon adverts and located some Reedy listings with the typical coloured Reedy Dot nomenclature along with some let...

Re: Demon motor thread - no others please

Another Demon motor based on the Yokomo can was the Demon Pink. I received this motor from Nick in I think 1985 also. It was his personal prototype motor. He tried this motor in the RC10 and told me it´s not good but I should try at my car and our races. Beside the RC10 I bought also a Hirobo Zerda ...

Re: Demon motor thread - no others please

Windings at the commutator are tied. Please see picture 3.

This motor was one of my fastest motors ever and hard to make runtime. But this was also when batteries were 1200s.
My Silver Dot has gone, but I still have the Green A at my collection. And never will leave my home.

Demon motor thread - no others please

Thread dedicated to the wonderful motors of Nick Adams (RIP) of Demon Power Products. No other motors please. There are pictures and discussion about Demon motors spread over the forum. But it´s quite a bit difficult to follow so I would like to concentrate everything about these motors here. I will...

Re: Delta Super J

Well I like Delta cars (any) and build and collect them. Also I run Super-J project cars. The battery for the receiver and servos was 5 cells usually. Regarding the size I don´t know the name of the cells, but they are larger diameter and much shorter than AA cells. Sanyo made those cells I think ma...
