I reuse my wheels. I use a rectangular plastic container with an air tight lid and pour in about a half inch of acetone, place the wheel/tires on a 3/4" thick wood block to keep the tire from contacting the acetone, seal the container and leave it for 24 to 48 hours and the tires will slip off ...

You'll get an order of magnitude in terms of longer run times over brushed using modern LiPos with brushless motors.
