Progress.
The blue paint on the rear springs is rough. I think this is pretty common with these kits though.
These have been the most difficult e-clips I have ever had to install.

Re: Traxxas TRX1 NIB + Upgrades build (?)
I knew I had read that post about painting the springs before. I just wasn't sure it was for these Traxxas springs. Thanks for the link. The shock caps coloring is pretty true to the pictures.

Re: Traxxas TRX1 NIB + Upgrades build (?)
Getting closer. I had this light blue material I used to wrap the receiver case. The color isn't perfect, but I wanted to try it. I will be replacing it with something closer soon. The XL-3 controller looks right at home on this car. I am trying to set my electronics as close to the box art/manual p...

Re: Traxxas TRX1 NIB + Upgrades build (?)
I'm not sure. I prefer the silver springs. This car is already different from the box art because of the aluminum drives, so I don't think I mind them being different.

Re: Traxxas TRX1 NIB + Upgrades build (?)
I found some airplane wrap at my LHS in a color that is a great match to the wrapped receiver in the box art.

Re: Traxxas TRX1 NIB + Upgrades build (?)
I noticed the front tires in the box art photo are thinner than the included tires. Does anyone know what tires these may be?
My front wheels look so toed out in the pictures. They are not actually this way. I think taking the picture from higher up will help with this.

Re: Traxxas TRX1 NIB + Upgrades build (?)
Thanks to Frankentruck, who told me the boxart was an Air Supply motor, I think I have the right one. I have some red colored brush springs coming, and I will probably remove the 2 small diodes (?) to match the photo.

Re: Some of my tyco rc collection
I don't know much about Tyco, but those are cool looking cars. When are they from?
My very first RC car without a wire was this Shinsei Lamborghini. It was actually pretty quick.
I bought 2 of them a couple of years ago and have been meaning to do something with them. One was basically NIB.

Re: Traxxas TRX1 NIB + Upgrades build (?)
Well, I think this is about as close as I am going to take it towards replicating the box art photo. The 2 big differences are the drive shafts, and front tires. I did change the front springs out, mounted and wired the motor, added the Tamiya plug, and made some further changes. The manual shows th...

Losi JRXT for A&L Roadkill Body
I am building this JRXT to go with an amazing painted A&L Roadkill body I have. I plan to build it in sort of a vintage oval racer manner, with short shocks and Factory Works towers. I think the 5 link rear suspension will go great with the body. I wasn't originally going to use a retrofit trans...

Re: Losi JRXT for A&L Roadkill Body
I cut the motor plate to follow the top line of the transmission case. I just wanted to make it a little different. I am also using aluminum drives in place of plastic sliders. Most all of the hardware is aluminum. I don't think I want to use stadium truck wheels. I was thinking of trying buggy whee...
