Losi JRX Pro SE build
This will be my first proper SE build. I have been on the hunt for a very nice donor for a few years. I was fortunate to buy this beautiful roller from Mikea96. Thanks buddy! It had a ton of brand new parts, including the chassis. It also had some nice RPM goodies. It was a beautiful car as is, but ...

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
The Traxxas esc is a bit too new, but being sealed I figured it may be good to have for a future Traxxas build.
The aluminum end Trinity motor is an actual new (with box, container, paperwork) beauty. I've been after a pink label for awhile.

Re: Losi JRX Pro SE build
Slight change of plans. After seeing the SE racer that RogueIV built, I decided I needed to build a modern SE myself. That means this NIP chassis that I had squirreled away will get opened and used on this build. The existing chassis, while new, has a bit of shelf wear, and will better suite the mod...

Re: Losi JRX Pro SE build
That MIP bar is great on track, especially if you run the bar on top of the bellcranks- also the LXT castor blocks are the same as the Jammin Steering Enhancement kit, they're a little beefier and allow axle height adjustment with the stock steering arms...last trick I found on the front end is the...

Losi JRX Pro SE Racer build
There seems to be a lot of SE builds lately, and here comes another. I was inspired by RogueIV's modern SE car. I decided that I wanted to build a modern SE myself. It will sport both vintage and modern upgrades and modern electronics. I'm starting with a pristine chassis. Very minimal shelf wear. T...

Re: Losi JRX Pro SE build
I got the transmission built. I used a 64 pitch gear set. I'm a big fan of the 64 pitch gears. I couldn't help myself from adding the aluminum hydra drive screws. They really bring back the early 90's neon feel.

Re: Losi JRX Pro SE build
Yeah, the transmission feels super smooth. Good point on the bearings. I guess they don't really serve much purpose, huh? I opened the NIP SE chassis. This is the later version with the cut outs for the retrofit transmission and servo saver. I'm using the upgraded ball bearing steering arms, combine...

Re: Losi JRX Pro SE build
It fit like a glove. I was sort of wondering myself.
One last shot of a factory fresh chassis, before it gets bolted up.

Re: Losi JRX Pro SE build
I'm using these rare RPM shock standoff. I've never mounted a set before. I love the small detail of the RPM lettering on them. The Jammin tower is attached to a RPM bulkhead. Aluminum 4-40 and 8-32 hardware used throughout.

Re: Losi JRX Pro SE build
Rear end assembled and installed onto the chassis. Using Lunsford retro turnbuckles and RPM ends. I was planning to use these cool vintage grey units, but remembered they are for a larger diameter HD thread. RPM rear carrier and chassis brace finish off the slider.

Re: Losi JRX Pro SE build
I have to say it's harder to avoid scratching the screw heads than it is to get them aligned. Yes RogueIV, I feel you on the electrical wall plates and making sure the screw heads are aligned. I actually replaced all the electrical covers in my house with fancy screw free units. Problem solved there...

Re: Losi JRX Pro SE build
Shocks built using SRS cartridges and MIP internals. The internals are held in by a snap ring.
I'm not sure on shock spring color. I had sourced front and rear shock sprinks in black, for a cleaner look. However colored springs just seem to suite an SE.
