Re: Losi JRX Pro SE Racer build
Finally getting some work done on this car. The transmission is together using 64p Thorp internals for ultimate efficiency. I'm trying to use a modern TLR 22 slipper setup, but I'm having a hard time getting everything to work properly. I think I may need to find a longer slipper spring. B4 slipper...

Raborn Invencer X-10
Crossed another car off of my vintage oval bucket list: Raborn Invencer X-10
I added the optional Raborn aluminum spring retainers, Tecnacraft turnbuckles and some aluminum hardware. It's sitting on CW mounted foams and I have a CW Phantom Wedge to top it off.

Re: Losi JRX Pro SE Racer build
Charlie - Good recommendation. I also like the idea of using a 4/40 screw straight into the threads of the top shaft. I got some work done. Arms and towers mounted. Factory Works supplied the towers as well as the front carbon brace for the hinge pins. I had wanted to use an RPM front bulkhead for ...

Re: So, what did you do RC today?
Over the last few days I've been resurrecting a few old and worn parts. Filing, sanding and polishing, polishing, polishing... More hours than I care to admit. My Litesink is the same one I used when I raced my Houge RC10 in the 80's-90's. Never really been happy with the way the Litesink turned out...

Re: So, what did you do RC today?
Did some anodizing... Turned out pretty nice. The rounded part on the top of the "radiator" of the Litesink was to clear a body I once had on the car. Polished rc10 parts.3.JPG Polished rc10 parts.6.JPG Old motor mount - new ( refurbed Litesink) motor mount Polished rc10 parts.5 (2).JPG Po...

Re: Losi Double XT CR Modern Racer
I know this forum isn't very race oriented, however this may help others that are vintage racing- We used to do this in the 2010 range to Proline Holeshot M3 tires. Diesel was the sauce of choice but the rubber would swell so much that the tire would be clapped out in three runs. Diesel isn't the sa...

Re: Fan RC FR-01 Worlds RC10 Blue kit
Very nice! I've been tempted to build one of these myself even though I don't need another unfinished project lol.

Re: Fan RC FR-01 Worlds RC10 Blue kit
That is sweet looking, the forged carbon looks wicked.
Really like the color of the shock bodies along with the blue.
The upgrades are nice choices
Any plans for some rubber and paint ?

Re: Fan RC FR-01 Worlds RC10 Blue kit
Nice build!! The black/blue theme definitely works for me.
Having both AE rere's and FanRC, Fan's quality is definitely superior. I really hope he survives the war.

Re: Fan RC FR-01 Worlds RC10 Blue kit
The FR-01 is a great car. I have an earlier one and only really had few complaints: Steering belcranks rubbing and coming loose if used as is (I just added spacers underneath and used longer screws to get more bite) and my earlier model had a binding issue in the gears, which they have since fixed. ...

Re: So, what did you do RC today?
I had bought what I thought was a partial JG SRT, which turned out to be a conglomaration of factory and aftermarket parts. Oh well. I had my mind set on a truck, so a truck it'll be. Just a conversion. Aftermarket Duratrax, Composite Craft, whoever graphite chassis, JG towers (repo rear) and front ...

Re: Losi Junior Pro Se
I actually have a jr2 chassis with the sides cut in my pile of spares. Kinda wish i caught tou before you shaved the sides on yours lol. Thanks for the offer. I have a few more Jr2s including a NIP in the stash, so it was a bit relaxing to cut on this one. The bottom is pretty nice, however, so not...
