Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
Grabbed some stuff while it was available, not because I need it. RC version of "if you build it, they will come..."

Re: Ball diff vs. Gear diff.
Gear diffs were introduced back into race buggies due to the high torque of brushless motors and the high grip smooth surfaces a lot of places use these days. Most race buggies will come with a gear diff, with a ball diff being an option. Any competition on road car will have gear diffs only. The ch...

Re: Mugen Super Sport '92 buggy
Some additional option parts were added - the AU-8 universal jointed centre drive shaft, and FC-A air filter unit. 20240809_141911.jpg 20240809_150225.jpg 20240809_162434.jpg 20240809_154732.jpg To extend the "Red Edition" theme, I fitted Mugen's "pink" spoked wheels and "64...

Re: Associated RC10 B7
Very nice looking B7, congratulations.
Mine is far from that, I wish r1 wurks products are be available in Europe.

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
My list of 'must have' motors is getting closer to completion. It took a few months to make a Solid deal to get this one. It's a very nice running 9x2 and in the gently used condition that I prefer over new in package. I don't feel bad hooking this one up and making it go Vroom Vroom! . 1000014028.j...

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
Same Gentlemen sold me this laser a week after he kindly adjusted the buy now on a Kyosho Rocky.
Both need serious amounts of TLC but they were local and didn't need to pay as much again on shipping.
Not convinced i needed either, but got plenty of bits around to make up a decent runner.

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
Even this stuff is vintage
They changed the formula 15-20 years ago so had to buy vintage fabric dye. I'm making a new version of my 1989 RC10L to the exact same spec as I made it back then (will be starting a separate thread soon).

Re: RPM Ultra Molded RC10
Forgot to post the updated pics. I added a few shock spacers, HPI green-dot mounted foams, Barracuda slipper eliminator, BIG JIM Master Stock and some Maxcell P-170's to make this the perfect carpet oval buggy.

Re: FanRC FR01 TEN4.1 (Revised)
You could also take the bottom out of the battery cup to drop the pack a bit. I thought about this a couple of times, but in my head, my thought was "well I don't want to cut a pristine battery tray." But then remembered that this is a modern, easily replaceable tray. :D I do sometimes th...

Re: Losi XXT Restoration Project
Started assembling today. Was surprised that the KNK hardware kit was metric also many of the screws are button heads and not cap heads. Liking the kit overall the stainless doesn’t look out of place. The Dragonpunch RC Ti ballstuds are a great bit of kit, very nicely machined. Was glad to fine new ...

Re: Kyosho Pro-XRT stadium truck rebuild (Team version)
Little over two years later, body's done. But need to order another decal set because I botched a couple of the stripe decals. Haven't painted a r/c body since '95, so not too disappointed with the turnout. Resized_20240912_205421_1726192670673.jpeg Resized_20240912_205253_1726192674617.jpeg Resized...
