Re: Factory Works Ten4.1 project
Several have asked about white parts. They are not as strong as the new pa12 black pieces, but it seems several are building cars for the shelf so I ordered in some white sla parts. I also added the front CVDs for short arm builds however they haven't arrived yet. The new platform won't require anyt...

Re: Tamiya Sand Scorcher - 2010 Reissue
Was only 96°F out today, had to take a shot at this. Got the drips sanded out of the driver door and back in primer. https://i.imgur.com/142nEAT.jpg Got the wheel wells painted thoroughly this time. https://i.imgur.com/1Kc9l0h.jpg Those fingernail stars should not have been used as masks, the paint ...

Re: Playtron Lynx & Dorbeman - let's CAD again :)
I still had a doubt regarding the mod of those bevel gears... https://i.imgur.com/6Mdfz3D.jpeg With a module of 1.6, the cone should be shorter than what it is with the parts. With a module of 1.8, the cone distance seems spot on. Let's go for a mod of 1.8 https://i.imgur.com/E0afsCy.jpeg Now that w...

I got the diff ready for next steps... https://i.imgur.com/RpwsWnc.jpeg Then I focused on the rather simple gearbox. The left side first... https://i.imgur.com/S88UEju.jpeg https://i.imgur.com/aoXxYS6.jpeg Once this was done, I did the right side... Which includes fixation for the 4WD variant power ...

Re: MRP FAST CAT
There were issues with the clutch pulley that years later could easily have been fixed by Dadio Designs....unfortunately the boat was abandoned in the basement of "Thumbs" mansion...yes its quite extravagant!...anyway the abandoned boat was returned recently and now I just ordered two 13×1...

Re: Graupner/Mugen Mercury CAD model...
The Mercury 4Xi came with a key for the wheel nuts. They are bigger than what we found usually on 1/10 EP cars. And it's damaged. I solved this with a very simple but effective print... https://i.imgur.com/GjFeM1Z.jpeg https://i.imgur.com/uYIwLok.jpeg Next part is the paintjob. Something simple is o...

Re: Losi JRXT 3d printed parts
Printed this servo holder from the same material as the body posts/skid (ABS). The graphite chassis already had two holes drilled into it to hold the servo down but it was super wobbly. Side note: Losi really thought double sided tape would hold a servo down? Early days I guess… The holes were not c...

Re: Graupner/Mugen Mercury CAD model...
Spent this morning to deal with the paintjob... Fluorescent red, white stripe, black and smoke for the window. Quick reminder : this is not an original bodyshell, it is based on an approximative CAD model, mold was printed and the bodyshell was vacformed by a friend (I may have to work out a better ...
