Re: Pan Curious
I'm right there with you Dadio. There have been a number of 1/12 scale build/resto projects posted recently that have rekindle my interest in this segment of the hobby. And, if you browse the various online catalogs of 1/12 re-pop bodies, you will find an absolute gold mine of options. ...and they'r...

Re: Pan Curious
On a flat indoor carpet track, 1/12 with a quick steering servo is a lot of fun. It's like the RC version of a TRON light cycle. Quick acceleration and sharp turning little land sharks Outdoors they just get beat up by the road surface too much due to lack of ground clearance, and have less high spe...

Re: Pan Curious
With your printing abilities you could also made wheels for a 1/12 that use M chassis rubber tires. Should be relatively close to the right size. Of course narrower in the back and wider at the front than regular 1/12 but usable

Re: Pan Curious
I find 1/12 pan cars fascinating to build.... but completely impractical to actually run. Their simplicity is what attracts me, with a minimal amount of chassis parts (ie less $$$ replacement parts), but so much mass once electronics and such are brought into the picture, and it all needs ...

Re: Marui Hunter - My first buggy... Found one to restore :-) - and a Galaxy RS too :)
xx for the year of release with 59 corresponding to 1984 According to this: http://www.meijigakuin.ac.jp/~watson/ref/mtsh.html that is correct, for Showa 59 (Japanese year numbering according to emperor rule). Thanks for this. I did not search for the year numbering explanation in detail. That is a...

Re: Best chemicals / methods for stripping paint from old bodies.
I'm certainly no chemist but I have stripped a few RC bodies during the past few years. There are a lot of different chemicals that work to varying degrees - some work more quickly than others. Anyway, I believe in many cases the cloudiness or fog you are seeing after the old paint has been removed ...

Re: GV (Great Vigor) Hunter 1:8 4WD Nitro Buggy?
If you "explode" the front end of this vehicle to its smallest pieces, there are just around 200 individual components in this front end. During the disassembly I realized that in both examples of the vehicles I have, the dogbones were painted to match the cage. The green of the CC motor l...

Re: Picture of the day. (Taken by you)
I like Raccoons, but they seem to have a real affinity for my house over the last couple of years. I caught this one Friday night and it's a record breaker. Probably 30 pounds getting ready for winter.
Relocated safely.

Re: Help with ID
And don't forget that parts get replaced over 30 years time. Many times, its with whats available.
If I had to choose an item to study closer, it'd probably be the ball cups.

Re: It's Dynamic...
Just finished installing the radius rod kit. What a PITA but we’ll worth it in the end. Such amazing looking cars.
