Re: My first RC10T. But, what is it?
Just a late model sport truck. If my memory is correct they were still selling the original truck when the T2 was first released and sold.

Re: My first RC10T. But, what is it?
yep, as stated above a late 7011 kit. Bushings and gold shocks, as well as dogbones standard. Three piece wheels. Would have came with a mechanical speed control and motor, a lot of times it would be a DS motor, or a firehawk, whatever was kicking around. I remember one of ours at the hobby shop eve...

Re: My first RC10T. But, what is it?
Associated just put a little slip in the box stating parts may have different appearance from manual when they started switching to black parts. Otherwise functionally they were the same and installation was the same. The correct body for the sport truck would be the wide as mentioned. The team body...

Re: My first RC10T. But, what is it?
Not that it matters much but I found a 96’ Tower catalog. They did indeed still sell the original truck after the T2 was being sold. For how long, I do not know that.

Re: My first RC10T. But, what is it?
The 10T was definitely still being sold when the T2 came out, I remember when I went to buy my first stadium truck there were stacks of both trucks side by side. I chose the T2

Re: My first RC10T. But, what is it?
That's a cool truck. A lot of attention is given to the early 7001 kits but the later Sport Trucks like yours are interesting in their construction. Crash parts are less expensive and easier to find, being shared with the T2/GT, so building it as a runner is more palatable. Any thoughts on motor/esc...

Re: RC10 Classic 40th anniversary
Order 2628 Chassis 1506 Seems to be no correlation. Here's the 40th between an A stamp on the left, and a C stamp on the right, the 40th has a luster to it, more of a gold hue than orange. https://i.imgur.com/dJRwmx3.jpg https://i.imgur.com/VQxqpJy.jpg Am definitely glad I got one of them now, was w...

Re: RC10 Classic 40th anniversary
There's a guy selling a 6-pack of 40th's on ebay (apparently they come (6) to a case). Would be curious to open all (6) of these and look at the chassis numbers. He wants $2,800, or $466 per unit.

Re: So, what did you do RC today?
Started experimenting with chrome nail powder as a possibility for chrome plating plastic. Of course, the YT videos always create better results, but I feel like I may be able to make something work. I do know now that I need a black base, so I have black spoons on order so I don't have to keep pain...

Andy's painted bodies are incredible, like the Horizon Hobby paint scheme he does. https://i.imgur.com/ucBRUhE.jpg https://i.imgur.com/rgrvsbX.jpg I bookmarked this link, and just watch the cool things he puts up there once or twice a week. Great place to draw inspiration from. https://www.ebay.com/...
