Shocks built up from the "best of the rest" used bodies and caps with new springs. NIP rear shock tower.
I wonder who J.V. is. Did a good job packing the motor guard back in the day.

Re: RC10 - A Stamp Rebuild - Chipped Idler Gear
I personally have not had a problem with using 3% peroxide, this regular stuff for cuts. I would leave it in a glass jar for a day or two in the sun. None of the parts got brittle or chalky, I do however fully soak the parts in water first so that if there is any material to wick into the nylon it ...

Re: My first RC10T. But, what is it?
Shouldn't see much, but different caster blocks do vary the amount or need for washers under the ball studs. As a rule of thumb, try to get the steering rods parallel with the suspension arms and you should see little to no bump steer

Re: Tamiya Sand Scorcher - 2010 Reissue
Beautiful prep work! Can't wait to see it with some color. Oh man, this is gonna be good. :D Thanks so much! Really hoping to get it right the first time with this paint. I've spent so much time trying to recover from my mistakes - with every last project, I just need to get through these strugglin...

Re: RC10 - A Stamp Rebuild - Chipped Idler Gear
The peroxide method is tried and true. If it hasn't been mentioned, just make sure to rinse/soak the parts after really well. Might want to pay particular attention to blind holes, etc. When going into the peroxide bath, you can drive the air bubbles out with a toothpick or similar. Same with the ri...

Re: a thread for BambuLab machines
I never did a lot of random, just fun stuff with my Ender 3, and I think that was for two reasons. One it took too long, and two, there was a decent chance it was going to screw up and waste all that time. The Bambu is changing how I approach the fun stuff. I am now on Yeggi just looking for random ...

Re: RC10 Classic 40th anniversary
FWIW, I like my 40th just as it is. The nylon is nice and white, the anno is brilliant gold/orange and the zinc and black oxide plated parts look good as well. The rest of my RC10 collection is old, the anno is faded and the nylon looks dingy by comparison and some of them have been peroxide treate...

Re: RC10 - A Stamp Rebuild - Chipped Idler Gear
Actually it is recommended you boil the parts after they completed a peroxide bath.

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
An Invader Oval Racer rear pod, a Twisters motor, and three MSCs from one FBMP deal. Hot Trick towers and battery straps from Factory Works (chassis for color reference, and the match is fantastic!), and a plethora of B&R motors from Frankentruck.

Re: RC10 - A Stamp Rebuild - Chipped Idler Gear
This is great! I really appreciate all of your input, thanks guys! I can't afford to do this wrong and ruin the original parts, and hearing all of your success stories, and best practices, makes me feel more comfortable about doing this. First, I soaked all of the white plastics in water, it has bee...
