Re: Old Novak receiver
I have one of these receivers also. I've always called it a NER-2, but never seen any documentation. It's the same size as the old aircraft receivers (bottom half of the case is interchangeable), but it's a purpose built 2 channel.

Re: RC10 Factory Works C2 "Tuber" Build
Hey radioactivity- No big secret as to which tubing bender I'm using. This one has the tightest tolerance, i.e., no play in the handle movement... https://www.ebay.com/itm/322244746338?hash=item4b07489c62

Re: RC10 Factory Works C2 "Tuber" Build
My first attempt at bending the motor cage was a failure, I didn't realize that as the tube is bent down to meet the cage, they become shorter. I had cut them off, ending up about 4mm short of my goal. So, start over! I'm close to getting them bent down and notched. I have to make a couple of ...

Re: A '91 Stealth RC10 project
Thanks Nomad. Yeah, I don't have any of the old rattle cans left but I do have about 25 or 30 of the little Pactra bottles and some have never been opened. I was thinking about throwing them in the trash last year when I cleaned the attic - just figured they were no good. I'm kinda glad I kept them ...

Re: A '91 Stealth RC10 project
Thank you Chuck. Most of the decals are applied to the body and wing so hopefully it's looking a little more like a race car now. I plan to do the final reveal of the completed car in a day or two. Yeah, so I don't fully understand their chemistry but I think the key to a seemingly unlimited shelf l...

Re: ??? Hydrographics ???
Finished the body and I must say I think it changed dramatically. Every bit as nice as I hoped. Under good lighting the paint is very fluorescent, it really pops. Some of the decals are truly vintage. Tekin , Sanyo and ProCar Racing are over 30 years old. Delta, Hyperdrive and sponsor decals are MC...

Re: I thought it was a Hornet
Looks to me like a Minicraft Lazer based on the speed control, sway bar, shocks, body and bumper

Re: Mid-motor B1, B4, B6
This is a very interesting build. Looking good so far Chuck.
That's a clever way to make a shock tower spacer. I'd probably tried to hack something out of aluminum - your way seems much better.
I guess it's early but have you given thought to which body you will use?

Re: Mid-motor B1, B4, B6
I tried something a little different. I used Birchwood Casey aluminum black on the areas I cut/trimmed. It looks fairly good. Particularly around the "squarish" trans opening. It doesn't wipe off with alcohol but it sure isn't as durable as anodize. Chuck Looks awesome Chuck. I'm curious ...
