Definitely not a Worlds car. Looks like a CE with dyed nylon parts. Anyway, it should clean up nicely. Also, they have the rear arm mounts reversed. I agree with you 100 percent

That rust could be cleaned up by disassembling and the steel parts spending a day or two soaking in CLR. Then some gun bluing and back to being pretty.

Just finishing some preservation on a couple of cars. Lots of rusty/uneven colored originally blackened steel parts. I tried linseed oil. First I cleaned all the steel parts. Time consuming... Got out my oldest needle nose pliers and my heat gun. Dipped each piece individually in the oil then heated...
