Wire wheel in a Dremel tool is my method too. Then wiped down with a little oil to ward off future rust.

The tires are easy.. any 2.2” truck tire will work and there’s a bunch out there. The wheels are getting hard to find though. I stick with vintage, so not sure what hex & modern solutions are out there.

Drain cleaner works too. From model car experience, there is usually a clear laquer/paint underneath the chrome that needs removed also.

I love the old Pontiacs and just had to buy this new Kyosho ‘67 GTO..

A holy grail motor.. nib.. don’t ask how much I paid for it...lol.
