Re: Jrx2 Proformance - Kit build w/out hop-ups
Today was shock day. Everything is new and original, including the early shock collars. I drilled out the front pistons with a #56 bit per the tech tips. My kit rear springs are purple (chipping paint which is typical), and I believe that was a running production color change. IMG_7857.jpg IMG_7851 ...

Re: Jrx2 Proformance - Kit build w/out hop-ups
I was able to track down the missing A-2016 rear pivot supports. Instructions and tech tips call for the #1 pivot since the Jrx2 rear pivot (A-2002) is only for the 5-link suspension. Got everything mounted up and made sure everything is accounted for. I'll get the wheels mounted up tomorrow and pic...

Losi JRX Pro SE build
This will be my first proper SE build. I have been on the hunt for a very nice donor for a few years. I was fortunate to buy this beautiful roller from Mikea96. Thanks buddy! It had a ton of brand new parts, including the chassis. It also had some nice RPM goodies. It was a beautiful car as is, but ...

JRXT of my youth
I received a JRXT for Christmas in 1990 to partner the JRX2 I received the year before. I'm pretty sure that my folks bought it at Arcar South, a hobby shop not far from my home in Georgia. Arcar hosted the 1990 Kyosho 1/8 Offroad Challenge. A JRXT was on the cover of the RCCA July 1990 issue that a...

Re: JRXT of my youth
Had some time to dig in the stash. Lookee what I found. A battery box attached to a JRX2 and a loose one. 20250215_100959.jpg Also found some white steering arms to match what I had on my OG truck. Should clean up fine. 20250215_100218.jpg Rear tires will be NIP X-patterns and fronts will ...

Abandoned JRX2
I figured a click bait Youtube style thread title wouldn't suck ... buuuut I'm sure i figured wrong. While searching for some JRXT parts in the basement, I was reminded that I had a Ebay score JRX2 abandoned on a dark shelf. After blowing off the cobwebs, the minty-ness was revealed, as we...

Re: Abandoned JRX2
The gearbox only had the outdrive gears inside. With all the mismatched parts, I'm guessing the Ebay seller threw things together to make it appear complete in the listing. Anyway - time to assemble, starting with a diff pulled from my stash. 20250216_164352.jpg Installed an early top shaft. 2025021...

Re: JRXT of my youth
Motor options. I did not have Losi motors back in the day. Mostly, I had Trinity Monster Horsepower or B&R, as that is what the local hobby shops had in stock. 20250215_105307.jpg 20250215_105903.jpg This is what I had in there BITD. Need a pinion and a few misc screws to call it done (for now)....

** POS Runner of the Month - March 2025 ** Winner - ZED32 (Hornet)
Running and bashing beats up an RC and make it ugly. Lack of painting ability, horrible painting concepts, bad masking that bleeds, and crash damage makes an RC ugly. Not cleaning up after a run and not storing an RC indoors make it ugly. This contest is for the uglies. What does winning mean? Congr...

Re: POS Runner of the Month - March 2025
This thing identifies as a RC10T. It has one of the $20 Injora transmissions on a heavily "modified" A stamp chassis. The rear is filled out with ECX shafts, heavily clearanced 10T arms, and Traxxas carriers. The front uses a 10T nose and bulkhead, Traxxas arms. The front hex setup is piec...

This is "Hotmess". My junker hornet. Screenshot_20250306-130658_Gallery.jpg The electronics are spares that I had from rebuilding other cars. The esc from my old stampede is on deaths door and has no reverse. It has an ampro locking battery door and ampro shock mount. The shock mount crack...

Re: POS Runner of the Month - March 2025
This is "Microphone Fast Car". Or at least that's what the body says on it in a language I can't read. I wanted a runner I could beat on a bit and not feel bad about it. This buggy is going to fit that want. Build: https://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=47408 Run video: ht...
