No assembled car is ‘new’ it’s just less used. Just take a look at all the poor eBay sellers trying to auction off partially assembled cars with parts still in bags. If it’s an attractive cost to you than go for it. Getting all of the bits together for collecting can be challenging and getting it all in one go helps save time if that’s your goal.
Now just think about what one looks best on the shelf to you. To play it safe you should get both to have options.
