Re: JRX2 - The project.
Status update. I was going to stop the resto at a rolling chassis, maybe temporary fit modern electronics just to take it for a spin in the yard. But oh no...I couldn´t stop myself. Had a good think of how my original Jrx2 was specced. Pretty sure it had a Novak t-4. So I got a nice one from ...

Re: Scrapheap Junior
The car has been sitting on the floor in my home office for a while now. Was looking at it the other day and something in the front end was a bit off. Had a closer look and I think I found the problem. 20210430_094945.jpg 3D printed arms using SLA (I don´t know what material was used) might no...

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
JRX2 Wow, that looks like it was attacked by Spiderman! 🤣 That plastic rear wheel nut does seem like a JRX2 indicator. It came with a stick radio? All I can say is that it came well wrapped. You are both correct in that it is a Losi. It´s a Jrx Pro. Not many of those around over here in Swed...

JRX-PRO -The racer
A vintage Losi on a local Swedish auction site! I had to get it. Was prepared to bid high. But in the end I got if for a reasonable $120. 20211102_191141.jpg The carbon body is rough, but I just feel that I need to try to save it somehow. 20211103_092654.jpg Turns out to be an old racecar wi...

Re: JRX-PRO -The racer
I'm not really a Losi fan, but I would have bought that too just because of the cool CF body. It's also interesting that it came with a stick radio. That's a rare choice for an expensive racing buggy, but also maybe a sign that the previous owner knew what worked well for him/her and stayed with it...

Re: JRX-PRO -The racer
Maybe the former owner had carbon fiber skills and made the chassis too.. Some overall length, width and thickness measurements would be interesting to see. That would be cool! I took some measurements: The width is 133,4mm (5 1/4"). 20211210_122143.jpg The length is 343mm (13 1/2"). 2021...

Re: JRX-PRO -The racer
and the little arrow is the spinny effect. Love it! Thanks! :D The more I look at the chassis the more I´m leaning towards it is factory made. I have found some more interesting modifications. I guess whoever raced this car lived by the Colin Chapman motto "add lightness"! The attachement...

Re: Trinity EV10 Ad/Box Art Replica
This is epic!
I also remember this ad. Remember that I wanted one so bad.
I used to race Corally pan cars but have
always had a soft spot for the Trinity pan cars.
Is that a Losi front battery cup?

Re: Tamiya M06 - Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GTA
As an owner of a couple of 1:1 scale Alfas (unfortunately not a Giulia Sprint) I absolutely love this!
I do have a M06 Gulia that is built but never finished. Seeing this I now feel that I need to finish it.
Thanks for the inspiration!

Re: Scrapheap Junior
So I finally found the time to assemble the slipper. 20211229_214121.jpg Got a bit scared when I saw this in the instructions: instruction.JPG And sure thing, I had the early gearbox case. So 5/16" is 7.94 mm. Very close to a 8mm drill bit then. Deep breath and here we go: 20211229_214026.jpg W...

Re: Need help with some measurements please.
Proof of concept seems ok:
Forgot to put a big radius on the actual tabs that go through the body, but otherwise ok.
The printer had blue filament in it so that´s why the Clod rere blue!

Leaking shocks – the fix?
My Jrx Pro has been sitting on the floor for a while now waiting for some final parts. Picked it up and had a look at it a couple of weeks ago. And found a puddle of shock oil under the front of the car. I like to have oil in the shocks even if the cars are just sitting still. I guess it makes them ...
