I had to redesign the front shock tower.
Now it’s more B4 style.
Caster- and steering blocks are held together with Kyosho OT212 king pin bushing set.
Steering bellcrank mounted with the aluminum spacers I made earlier.
And the B4 slipper assembly is mounted to the top shaft.

Tamiya Top Force - Kit No. 100
I’ve had this original for a number of years, so finally made a start on stripping it down for a complete clean and rebuild. Will have to replace the rear gear case as it is broken where the shock tower attaches, other than that, all original parts will be used. I am going to replace the camber link...

Re: RC10 - A Stamp Rebuild - '85 Jammin' Jay Halsey Tribute
These are the Tamiya Falcon tires (still sold new on ebay), they say Off Roader on the sidewall, and are the closest thing to the vintage Tamiya Holiday Buggy tires, the ones that JJH used in the '85 IFMAR race. https://i.imgur.com/CbGghbf.jpg The Falcon tires have one extra spike on each side of th...

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
I received this NIB Novak Pit Wizard with purple Cyclone esc. I already had the other NIB Pit Wizard and PC Profile. They all look pretty good together.

Frankenshorty RC10 buggies - #2: The Stubbie Tub
This started as a trial to see what I could do with an unloved gold pan tub. It started with some snipping and bending. 1000014281.jpg 1000014282.jpg 1000014283.jpg It finished up with brazing, filling, sanding/filing/grinding, and some painting. Then assembly with standard A stamp parts... 10000142...

Losi JRX Pro SE build
This will be my first proper SE build. I have been on the hunt for a very nice donor for a few years. I was fortunate to buy this beautiful roller from Mikea96. Thanks buddy! It had a ton of brand new parts, including the chassis. It also had some nice RPM goodies. It was a beautiful car as is, but ...

Re: Tamiya / Tonka Fire Truck
So the plan for this thing is to get it fairly realistic, but it isn't going to be some stupid expensive rig at all. Full lights and sounds will be the main adds for the truck itself, and then the ladder will actually become an almost sperate project, and it will be run off its own Rx and have 5-7 c...

JRXT of my youth
I received a JRXT for Christmas in 1990 to partner the JRX2 I received the year before. I'm pretty sure that my folks bought it at Arcar South, a hobby shop not far from my home in Georgia. Arcar hosted the 1990 Kyosho 1/8 Offroad Challenge. A JRXT was on the cover of the RCCA July 1990 issue that a...

My Green 40th Edition RC10 Build
Here's my green 40th edition build so far. As soon as it was released I too decided to dye all the plastic green and black. Tried to make everything green and black, replaced silver colored parts and hardware with black where possible, installed black steering arms and ball cups from a DS, green tie...

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
Never thought I'd find one of these. This was my first RC10. Pretty sure mine was a late edinger simply due to when I purchased it but this Cadillac is close enough. The kit came as stripped down as could be- no electronics, no body, no wing, no driver. I had a stock car body on mine first, later we...

Re: Bored? Come To The Chit / Chat Thread
I just have to share this, as I am as giddy as a school-girl right now. There is a decent chance that I pick up an original '80s RC10 tomorrow morning!! At 50, I have never owned an original new B1, and I don't want to say bucket list, but pretty effing cool! Something like this ha...

Re: Losi JRX Pro SE build
Slight change of plans. After seeing the SE racer that RogueIV built, I decided I needed to build a modern SE myself. That means this NIP chassis that I had squirreled away will get opened and used on this build. The existing chassis, while new, has a bit of shelf wear, and will better suite the mod...
