Re: SilverTriple's printing stuff...
Every six months or so I get to thinking about getting into resin printing, then after about 30 minutes of e-learning about all the PITA aspects of it, I just stick with FDM. The toxins, the fumes, the enclosure, the heating, the cleaning, the curing, etc etc. Just too much for me. If I could dedica...

Re: 3dSets Sandy beach buggy
Thanks for posting! I may get the Landy, as I have a '74S3, and there are loads of accessories and conversions for it on thingiverse.

Re: So, what did you do RC today?
Had a little time today, away from the oval car, to move forward with the Viper and get the tires trued. Love the car and love the wheels ............... but finding the appropriate body that will fit right is becoming a chore! It'll be fine though.

Re: So, what did you do RC today?
Got the Viper close to finished up. Found a body that I think will be perfect for it, but had to order it from across the pond, so it will be on hold until then. Got a sprint car ready to take its place on the mat.

Re: So, what did you do RC today?
A little more work on the oval car today. The rear trans adaptor / bulkhead / rear bumper mount is just about 95% there. There are two little spots that need to be shaved about 1mm for it all to click together. Then need to figure out rear body mount mounts, and lipo battery mount. As with all old c...

Re: Picture of the day. (Taken by you)
Caught this glimpse of Venus and Jupiter while taking out the trash last week. The week prior, I saw the same view but with a crescent moon directly beneath them, but didn't have a phone on me.

Re: So, what did you do RC today?
Is this a shelfer, or are you going to race it? The current plan is oval fun runner. :) I don't think I have any local oval courses, but I would love to just run on some open dirt around here and see how it does. It is meant to be kinda 50/50 new/old, so it won't be any competitor, but it would be ...

Re: So, what did you do RC today?
Could you explain what you did to the gearbox/rear suspension setup? I'm curious...It almost looks like something I did with my sprint car. I can try, but probably not very well. :D It is quite a hodge podge, and hard to describe. The gearbox is DR/RB-10, flipped around, and mounted to a printed ad...

Re: best reproduction bodies in 2023?
Not a RC10 body, but I bought a Penguin body for another project and was not happy with the quality of it.

3D Sets Landy Build
Inspired by GoMachV's Sandy build, I have started into a 3dsets "Landy" build. https://3dsets.com/product-category/3dprintable-models/3d-printable-car-models/landy-4x4-lineup/ The kit (pickup or hardtop) runs $40 for the stl files (or straight g-code if you print on Prusa) and it comes wit...

Re: The Official "What is it?" Thread
Oval car. RC10 based with a wide front end. Trans mounts directly into six gear holes. Not sure what lake it seems to have spent some time in.

Re: The Official "What is it?" Thread
Thanks for the great info guys! Seeing as it would be impossible to find a Badger chassis in need of a transmission, I am thinking about rebuilding this thing as the hodge podge that it is. I think I know a guy that sells trackmaster chassis plates.

Re: 3D Sets Landy Build
2-3 days more printing leads to new parts. LANDY BUILD 3.jpg LANDY BUILD 4.jpg LANDY BUILD 5.jpg Neat little trick they used on these fender grilles. Instead of designing the grid into the part, they just made it solid and have you print it at 50% infill, in a grid pattern, with 0 top layers. :shock...
