Got the battery pack made up, which completes the chassis, I think.

Let's Talk Tractor / Truck Pulling
Anyone here into tractor pulling? I have been anxious to get into some sort of local RC competition, but 1:8 buggy racing is out of my skill set, and everything else is just too far away to justify getting into. But, through a FBMP deal this evening, I heard that there is a LHS that does pulls about...

Re: Let's Talk Tractor / Truck Pulling
Yay! Someone who knows what they are talking about!! :D Sportsman or Open I is what I am thinking about after looking through the classes. Of course I am going to try to make this as much of a parts bin build as possible, so came up with this out of spare parts. I think the frame will work out well,...

Re: RC10 Classic 40th anniversary
The 40th and it's nylon has a better chance of being a durable runner that the CC. The clear plastic parts in the CC just feel brittle. I completely agree. :D But I would say that ~5% of 40th buyers will actually run them. Most will be like that commemorative plate that your grandma bought from Hom...

Re: Let's Talk Tractor / Truck Pulling
So, from the very few pics I am gathering from the interwebs, the FDR I am coming up with 6" Clod tires, is in the ballpark of 20:1. I know nothing about what motors are being run in these scenarios, just that they are running double pinon-spurs, at around 20/90 each. I decided to take inspirat...

Re: ** Kyosho JJ Ultima Waffle **
You'll have to bear with me as the donation system no longer appears to be recording any donations made. :? I'm getting the notifications directly from PayPal to my email though, so they can be figured out that way for now. It's just a much slower process. I donated $500 just for the record...

Re: RC10 Classic 40th anniversary
My Amain order has shipped and is showing movement, so a couple of days before they said they would. Shipped from Charlotte, so that is nice. And with only a 4 day delay or so, I will gladly give my retail markup to Amain instead of AE. I don't get the paper manual grind. I haven't built a car actua...

Re: #6007 RC10 40th Classic Kit
Hi from the uk,I've got one on pre order, but have to say I'm disappointed that they now come with black screws and not the gold/green ones, that and no instruction manual, and no front anti rollbar takes the shine off it, I've only put £25 deposit down, I'm seriously considering cancelling it You ...

Re: RC10 Classic 40th anniversary
I wrote out a pretty well worded 2-3 paragraph on my opinion on many of these comments, but then just deleted them and decided to wish all a happy Friday!!!

Re: Bored? Come To The Chit / Chat Thread
Oh, and have been excited about attending my first RC pulling competition tomorrow, and rained out. This is actually the third time this event has been rained out, so it may not be in the cards. While looking through the stash a couple of days ago, my 80% complete Double Dare caught my eye, so a rai...

Re: Kyosho Double Dare Refresh
I don't know if anyone remembers the movie Money Pit, but there is a great line in that movie where the contractor actually shows up to work on the "the pit," and he announces, "you won the lottery, today we work." That is how I am with my RCs; I work on one until another one win...

Re: Kyosho Double Dare Refresh
Save the front strut tower (waiting on the motor), it is a slider. I don't know if Kyosho's plan was just to shove all the wiring under the MSC, but that is what ended up happening to get it all to fit. I have to confess that the MSC that I got was just a generic Kyosho rotary of the era, and not a ...

That sticks out to everyone that has built a 12 because everyone has done it!
